The Cornstalk 2025 @ Landmand GC (Homer, NE) - May 31-Jun 1, 2025

I was bummed I couldn’t make this work but I think it was meant to be. Spent all weekend nursing a lower back issue that would’ve been impossible to play with.

FOMO is still a bitch though!

I found a phone on 12 tee. I’ll bring it in to the clubhouse

Anyone get life flighted out of there today? Everyone’s gotta be drained after two days of walking that place.

Someone in the discord said they tapped out around hole 7. Don’t think anyone had a medical emergency.

But woof. Im tired.

It was definitely not comfy. Just heard about a few more that didn’t finish, but no deaths so far.

I called it at the snack shack today. Looked up from the tee box and saw the hill to climb to get to there and lost all mojo to push through 9-10 mores holes.

It’s swampy out there. 30 mph winds would have been a blessing actually.

Today was a million times better then yesterday thanks to light wind. I also ditched the cart and carried which was much easier then pushing up hills.
After yesterday I hated Landmand, my opinion has softened today. My only critique is the greens are too tricked out. After battling downhill, uphill and side hill lies you finally get on the green and the putting is nearly impossible.
Not sure I would play it again, it’s just to severe for me.

I’m fucking exhausted, but that was still a lot of fun this weekend.

Was great playing with @Ultra-Kiger, @d_wrek, @EagleE, and @OTPLefty. Great dudes and I hope I see you all down the road again.

Shout the hell out @bignanski, @kcurry11, and anyone else who helped organize this behind the scenes. Can’t imagine what a pain it is and I appreciate the hell out of it!

I’m so tired but, that was so goddamn fun. Thanks to Nick & Kyle for putting a great event on and the Landmand staff for being awesome.

That was a serious walk but, I’d absolutely do it again.

Next year, one day in carts would be clutch

No med flight, but 3 minutes of running my head under the sink felt great

What greens are tricked out??? I need an example because I couldn’t disagree more, I have my own critiques but that never once came to my mind

Both days in carts would be clutch. The good news is I think we’re locked in for next year, two full days with the course to ourselves. Thank you all for coming out and braving a huge walk for absolutely no reason other than to be with other sickos. Y’all are great and make all the work very worthwhile. See you next year.

It’s always great putting faces to refuge tags, it was nice to meet so many of you. I had a great time and I really appreciate the midwestern hospitality I received from all of you this weekend. I can’t believe flying from DC to play golf in Homer, Nebraska, makes sense, but when it’s guaranteed to be a great time with a bunch of fellow sickos, it’s worth it.

SO CLOSE to winning “who traveled the farthest”. So, so close.

I will see you in DC someday.
