Turns out my credit card has “points” that can be redeemed for things like air travel and rental cars. So we’re flying. Congratulations to everyone who had the under on miles driven this weekend by me.

Silly question for those who have been before…

Which route to Landmand has the least amount of gravel roads? Coming from Omaha if that helps.

Oh god this gives me some terrible flashbacks. Google maps tried to kill me on the way to Streamsong once.

I think it’s all about the same tbh. Just the last half mile or so from all directions.

I’ve also only been once and came from SC so I could be very wrong

Independence, IA, home for the night. Found a Mexican place with giant beers. Life is good.

Coming from omaha, I’d take 29 up to the onawa exit. It’ll just be gravel from north of Homer to Landmand. Not a lot of gravel but last year partial lane closure north of winnebago. Do not speed through the res…you will likely get pulled over.

Won’t be attending, so I’ve been living vicariously through everyone during the lead up (and I’m sure post-event). This all taking place in NE brings to mind Ted Kooser’s poem, “So This Is Nebraska.” Have a great time!
