FYI I’m out on landsmeer Saturday. Joining @mharp at Indian creek on the way through Omaha. He was going to fly solo and we couldn’t allow that this weekend.
Great, you’re in. Tee sheet looks pretty open, and we’re in carts, and I’m sure the folks running thing will have some sympathy for double loopers if there is any issue. Absolute worst case, we join up with the second group on 2 fairway and then replay 1 at sunset
Update :
Sunday; SPC’s Day3 outlook puts us on the edge of a Slight Risk for severe weather. Instability numbers are trending higher. Plenty of warm/wet air to work with.
The morning forecast remains similar, possible we wake up to some showers; but they should be pushing east around the timing of our first tee times.
Models are showing a bit more shower/thunderstorm development ahead of a front during the afternoon hours before the main line rolls through overnight. Should be isolated activity so there’s a good chance we don’t get bothered. And if we do, the bother is brief.
Eveving/overnight line of storms could be rowdy.
Light rain gear suggested.
SSE/20g30 still in play (its the warm/moist air feeding this whole thing).

We haven’t called attention to this yet but how 'bout our guy @Easydeal changing his avatar to the map of the Homer area
Thanks, I’m all in on Homer Nebraska.
you ever seen a grown man weep after golf? not because of poor play of course, that’s a given.
I want to be clear that I’m not concerned (so @Bnankivil doesn’t come in here screaming and calling me a pussy) but if we do actually get hit with some severe thunderstorms there aren’t many worse places to be than out there lol. Halfway house after 7 and that old bin by 16 tee are the only structures besides the clubhouse on the entire property, and a single tree (that may now be dying according to the grounds crew guy who said he trimmed it and everyone got pissed at him). Extra towels in the bag is probably not a bad idea.
Shhhhhhhh
yes.
it was me
I wasn’t going to call you out, but yeah.
My MIL has had to revive two people on the golf course after lightning strikes. You won’t catch me fucking around with thunderstorms.
I was in a golf cart about 20 ft from a tree that got struck once. It’s not an experience I would like to re-live.
Pussy
There it is.
