The Cornstalk 2025 @ Landmand GC (Homer, NE) - May 31-Jun 1, 2025

Since I saw so many people from the first NIT, I’m just curious about this now

When I first joined the refuge we became enemies in the grint thread. I’m no longer on there so continue your peacocking good sir.

We were enemies?! Is it because you hit the fairway a lot? Because that’ll do it.

Sorry we were enemies unless it’s for that reason which we’ll never be speaking again.

I’m still thinking and mad about my missed birdie putt on 13.

We got the wind behind us and I tried to take too much of the corner off and then proceeded to hit a wipey cut that ended up at the bottom of where the dirt is for the giant wall right before the green. Hit it out of that shit to 4 feet and then burned the edge on the birdie putt.

I posted this in the North Star United Discord as well. But just wanted to rely my message.

Thank you to everyone who coordinated the event! A day removed from Cornstalk 2025. Looking back on the weekend. I truly had an amazing time! It was my first NLU/Roost event. Everybody I met and played with was awesome. Two of the best days of golf I have had.

I wasn’t sure if getting hurt was a message to stop traveling so much, and now I know it definitely was not. Thanks for all the hugs and well wishes and drinks and for making sacrifices so I could have an awesome time. I’ll be working my butt off to be ready to go ASAP. Cheers.

I loved our decision to play the yellow tees. Much more enjoyable

IMO - maybe the coolest story of the weekend (Sunday at least) was @macros making his first two career eagles back to back on 17/18.

Proceeded to make a 5 on Sunday, hit it short than chipped into the bunker

Got saved by the big wind sock flag as my bunker shot hit the flag and went straight down

I’ve birdied it twice (oh good for me), it stinks

My favorite part of this story is that he told his group, after birdieing 15, that he had never had an eagle. Proceeded to then go par-eagle-eagle to close. Amazing stuff.

I’m not going to tag everyone. If I was lucky enough to spend some time with you this weekend, thank you for coming out to fucking Nebraska and I’m glad I got to see you. If we didn’t get a chance to talk, I’m sorry and I’ll look forward to making that right next time. I got multiple compliments filtered back to me by the staff about how friendly our group is, even Will himself said he walked a few holes early morning and saw very few pitch marks, and what I thought would never happen happened - both Sam and Fletch, separately, told me they love having us and that we’ll be in touch later this summer to get the next one set up early. We actually got invited back to a golf course that sells out an entire year of tee times in under an hour.

I love all of you, be excellent to each other, and I hope to see many of you next month in Green Lake.

This is because of all of you.

I’ll echo what Nanski said. He puts in a ton of work for this event, and it’s obvious that it’s special. Having this honor to talk to and meet all of you is a highlight of my summer, even after all the planning and tee time switching.

My only regret this year was not getting to spend more time with everyone individually. Everyone comes from such different places to a course off of 2 miles of dirt roads, it’s absolutely bananas that we have this shared experience up top. The course is secondary to everything. Y’all are what make this event special. I can’t wait to see a bunch of you in a month, and hopefully at other roost events to follow if you won’t be up in the middle of Wisconsin.

Until next time!

I need context of this guy, his game, and a shot by shot of this last four holes.

Boatload of photos here. No chance I’m cropping or editing. I’ll get my film processed (fingers crossed it turns out) and get another link out. Thanks to all who let me follow them around and pretend to be a photographer.
