Since deleted tweet? Maybe. Or maybe X is being weird for me.
So… when I quoted you and asked you it was in a hurry, and I think I conflated your “he’s weird” post with @DetroitGolfer19’s post about not liking Taylor as a person… and I may have thought you were saying he was weird because he made comments about not liking her as a person. I don’t know, it was a blur. 
But yeah, he’s not really a great dude, business-wise. I didn’t love all the hinting at all the secrets they hear and keep on the latest podcast.
The New Heights podcast with Taylor, though… yeah. She’s fucking awesome. To the people out there who say it’s an act… it’s not humanly possible to act that strongly that well that long that often without it just being who you are. Not possible.

I think my biggest takeaway over the last few years is exactly this, that Taylor is a fairly great person who is completely comfortable with herself (and why shouldn’t she be, though many other successful folks aren’t). I’m not nearly as big of a fan of her music as you are (based exclusively on this thread, you’re a bigger fan than anyone I know and I have a 17-year old daughter) but I’m a massive fan of her. I am a little bit done with th Kelce Brothers but it’s hard to not see clips of this interview and feel like she and Travis are a couple who absolutely are for real and at least for now truly happy for the right reasons.

I’m like the 10th biggest fan just including the 12 girls in my junior golf program. 
(But I am the biggest in my family. It’s more about the lyrics than the actual tunes. And my second most played artist last year was R.E.M. I’m odd. )

I think she’s incredibly smart, and thought she might get bored with him even if he is fun but not all that bright, but he might be smarter than average (not that hard), and so just as I wish for almost anyone, whoever she is with, I just hope they’re happy together. Beyond that, I care about her relationships inasmuch as it informs the lyrics and the music, but don’t actually care about her relationships on a personal level. Just the artistic level.
This album doesn’t seem super personal, maybe… or maybe it’s not heavily relationship-based, which suits me just fine, too.

She does it because it works, and her super hard core fans buy everything, and I can’t fault her for making money… but I don’t like stuff like this.

Yeah, and good for her, but I don’t love it.

Gonna be some wedding, if it happens…always cynical, but she at least seems happier etc in this relationship.

I saw a video of her greeting some kids in the hospital (I think the visit was awhile ago) but the headline said WE MADE THE RIGHT PERSON THE MOST FAMOUS PERSON or something like that. Kinda have to agree with that

I’m not sure you watched the two-hour podcast, but man does she just continue to come off so well in it. So so well. And Travis does, and Jason does too, and sure it’s edited, but you can’t edit a two-hour video with very few cuts to make you look that good and that genuine. It’s not a movie.
From the sending personal gifts to her fans to the hospital visits to the food bank donations to the tips she gave her tour staff to just the way she interacts with people, the thought, the care, the intelligence and empathy and so on… it’s tough to think of a “better” overall human being.
It’s corny AF but I’ve been trying to notice my reactions to things, how I take things that people will do, and ask myself how she’d handle such a situation (not the “write a song about it” part, ha), and I think it’s helping me to be a better person.
@Wabinez, I’d bet you they get married. After the initial bit, where details were light, it’s seemed incredibly genuine. If she’s happy, I’m happy for her. And… that’s about all I can say, because… I don’t know either of them at all. Only what they put out there, and it’s generally all pretty good stuff.
This will be a BIG topic tonight at one of my junior open sessions among the girls.

Yeah people getting engaged might be a notification from some apps but it’s not a sports story. That’s wild. Happy for them.
