Wow,
I can recall with too much frequently having various Napster pulled Creed songs on mix CD’s.
Also you bringing up Hilaree reminded me when she beat up her ex.

It’s an Olympic sport! Huge in India and Pakistan (nearly as big as cricket there). Australia / Holland / Germany tend to be the best teams year in year out (Belgium are current world champs though).
Yeah, I actually had a male student a few years after that teacher left that was on the U.S. Jr. National Team. He got super into it because his sister was really good (Girls FH is huge in this area).
Indian Pass Raw Bar is an absolute gold standard beach restaurant. Was down there last week for the first time ever and pleasantly surprised by the area although it’s a bit of a bermuda triangle for golf. Actually drove to Tallahassee one day to play CCCC not knowing the strapped boys had even recorded there.
This episode really struck me how much @MerchCzar changes his look - still not sure if he does this FOR Strapped, or if Strapped is just a good documentation of these looks.
Let’s go to the tape.
Season 1, it’s Young Neil in all his glory.
Season 2, Neil is in training for his big fight. Kind of the same look, honestly, but just a bit more Googley
Season 3, Louisiana. Here is where the evolution - or de-evolution begins. Clearly, the influence of True Detective plays a part here.
Season 4, Reno. We have two looks, one the slicked back Casino look, but also the long hair and the clean shave. It’s a big change for our Neil.
Season 5, we head to Baltimore and Neil is in full Father John Misty mode:
Season 6, we are in Southern California and Neil appears dressed as “The guy who knows exactly what pier you can score the most excellent weed at”
Season 7, how does it play in Peoria? Like this:
Finally, we find our way to Tallahassee, and Neil is doing … something here:
(Note - I point all of this out with love and respect. I could never grow my hair or facial hair this quickly and with this much self-confidence to try out some of these looks. It’s wild, man.)
Actual question, because I’ve seen you play golf in ball shoes a few times;
How do you find movement in them? Is it too restricting or do you not really notice it?
I’ve seen you play golf in ball shoes a few times
Building on this question, @MerchCzar, I recall a #NoFreeAds moment for Golf Kicks in one of the previous Strapped seasons. Did the LeBrons have Golf Kicks installed?
And do the GK spikes make a noticeable difference?
I’m debating buying a set and splitting them between some of my son’s shoes and mine (they come in 20 so I think I could make that work given his small, 6 year-old feet).
Did the LeBrons have Golf Kicks installed?
no, the ones he was wearing on last night episodes were straight lebrons and ass ugly at that
between the hat, TBC belt and the lebrons id have to say that was without question the worst fit in strapped history
shoutout to Leon though, what a total class act and welcomed addition to the episode…the world needs more Leons
#nofreeads but GK’s are sweet. I have multiple pairs (oreo 5’s, reebok pumps). Including some NB dad shoes that I wear for mowing my lawn.
Loved the new season/episode!
But it was a tough scene when the text overlay spelled Capital City CC as “Captial”. Ya hate to see it.
#narc
Super pumped to see FAMU included in this season. Not only is the school a huge part of Tallahassee, the golf team there is SICK! Can’t wait to watch the rest!
You’re not completely off base. I’d say the wording is a tad strong, but the general critique is valid. Strapped definitely has a formula and it can get a bit repetitive if there isn’t a unique hook to the episode. Without some hook, whether it’s a full-on Icarito sighting, an absolute shitshow of logistics (Iowa/NE), the money round, or an intriguing character ala (weirdo Pancakes lady, Ben, Maggie, KVV, a PGA Tour player) to spice things up, it can fall a little flat. Not every episode is going to be an all-timer and last night’s was pretty “meh”.
Tourist Sauce usually has a great course to carry some interest if the adjacent plotlines aren’t super compelling. Strapped doesn’t have that fall back, which can be a blessing sometimes if the story around the trip are really interesting b/c there isn’t a compelling need to document the course nearly as closely and provides room for human side of it.
Thanks for getting me to way overthink this.
wording is a tad strong
Agreed. I woke up fired up. Idk why I felt so compelled…
Edit: also you’re welcome.
Shoutout to Hernando de Soto.
IYKYK.
Did we get a breed on Leon? Leon seems like an absolute best boi.
I saw Jay comment on YouTube maybe saying he’s a labradoodle which blew my mind.

Throwing shade at Jay Revell!!

I actually like last nights episode because of some of the “extra” stuff. Randy almost getting t-boned, Neil spending money after Randy left the store, and then the extremely shady Airbnb. Too me, that and the interactions between the three of them is what I enjoy most. But obviously we’re all different and like different things.
I’m an apologist, but I get the point. Part of it may be the last two locations were in COVID times so there are fewer things to do and show off course. I do think DJ’s production has improved a ton throughout the series even when the stories aren’t all as catchy.
Also, Strapped dogs, choose your spirit animal (they’re both objectively very good boys)
