DJ has talked about it before , the ads aren’t an NLU thing. The ads are from the copy righted music and the only way around it is to watch the premiere. Correct me if I’m wrong but I think that was the jest of it.

this is correct. YouTube lets creators use copyrighted music for free in content. The copyright owners make money because YT’s algorithms detect the music, prompts ads into video, and then pay out the copyright owners from the ad revenue.
Watch the premier or buy YT premium to avoid ads.

I use uBlock Origin and it seems to allow me to play YT ad free. Some channels I have whitelisted to support the creator, but I don’t feel bad about using it for NLU since they aren’t monetized

I had YT Premium for a short stint, let it expire a few months ago, and had no ads last night a few hours after premiere. You all are making me nervous that the ads will turn on at any time. This was on a Roku.
I was trying to get 2 birdies in the last three. Felt like I had to make a play there with a long par 3 coming up and got impatient.

When watching last night with my wife, I just kept saying over and over “oh that must be some upcoming merch, I love it.” She rolled her eyes repeatedly. But the crew neck Neil wore during the mental lesson, the new windbreaker, and the hat with the big NLU flag logo are going to be immediate purchases if eventually sold. Also, sly and very classy by the Strapped boys giving Linn and Pia some free towels. If needed, I can completely undo all of their work by explaning my mental game on the course for a few free towels.
