Strapped: South Carolina - Long Live the Kid and NCIS

Antelope Hills is $40 to walk, Prescott CC is 65, and Agave Highlands is $54.

Also cheaper to stay in Prescott.

Just, y’know, ignore that it snowed up there last week and this plan has no flaws.

I will be in Prescott in a little over a week and plan on playing Antelope Hills for the first time. Thoughts on the course?

Two courses there.

North is the older more classic tree-lined parkland muni. A few more houses on the course but nothing terrible; only maybe 2 holes where they’re down both sides.

South is a bit more of a modern design, more open.

Unless you’re playing from the tips, neither course is especially long, given that you’re at altitude.

Neither is anything to write home about, but they are both totally solid, walkable, affordable golf courses. Could be a bit early in the season up there next week. Weather is turning now but we’ve had an unusually robust winter in Arizona.

I grew up in Prescott and have played a couple hundred rounds there I bet. Both courses are a fun walk, it’s got a good working class vibe and is full of locals. Usually a robust skins game on Sunday mornings around 10-11. Greens are generally pretty good regardless of season. Wind is usually a factor in the spring and if you play the North, stay below the hole! Some greens are pretty steeply sloped from the back. Enjoy your round and time in Prescott!

I mean, on their Player’s picks everyone but Soly was traveling and DJ’s background was a cactus. :man_shrugging:

What if the new series is called Pegged and involves The Diner Boys exploring a side of the Scottsdale golf scene only known in the darkest corners of golf Twitter?

I’m here for it…but does that place exist in Scottsdale?

Don’t act like you don’t know

There’s things I don’t know, things I pretend not to know, and things I wish I didn’t know.

and knowing what I don’t know, the boys would be better off getting pegged in other parts of the greater Phoenix area. Even the seedy side of Scottsdale doesn’t scream Strapped.

What the hell is going on in here…

I just got challenged in another thread for saying the Refuge/Nest devolves into a level of ridiculousness sometimes, and this was the first thread I went to after defending my take. I feel validated beyond belief.

Saw the challenge you mentioned…

I’m pretty sure the last episode had the boys blowing the budget and shotgunning beers on a replica course while being dressed like the kind of ugly Americans to whom Barstool cater, and quite profitably.

So- a crass reference to the affluent corners of Scottsdale being someplace where pegging is prevalent doesn’t seem too ridiculous.

Bring on the pancakes.

Reddit post says they were at Dobson Ranch…not sure where that rates on the Strapped scale?

Explains why its just been Soly, Tron & KVV in the last couple of pods and the “undisclosed locations” in the Draft Kings vid

Dobson Ranch would fit in the Strapped budget even during peak season. I have always thought it’d be a great Strapped course should the boys make their way to AZ. Join us in this thread/rumor mill as well!
