I would really like to see the boys make the drive to Ladd Il and eat at rips
Per DJ’s instagram, looks like the boys walked the Bradley campus last night. Hopefully we get a deep dive from Randy into the BU basketball glory years. Shame that he didn’t get to see Robertson, seems like the type of venue that woulda been right up his alley.
I haven’t been to Rip’s in many years - probably 10+. Is there a still a line to sit down on weekend nights?
I’ve driven very far out of my way to make a stop for their fried chicken.
Unfortunately I graduated from Monmouth College back in 07, and moved out of IL in 2010. I sure hope nothing has changed at that is a top 5 spot for me in all of the country.
My parents take their dog there and walk around sometimes. My dad will send us pictures asking if we can identify the hole from an obscure angle. Man I miss that golf course.
Augustana graduate here. Seen a fair share of Knox-Monmouth basketball games back in the late 90s and 00s.
Rips was definitely worth the 2.5 hour round trip. Also, might have been a spot to get served a cold beer or two if you weren’t quite been the appropriate drinking age.
Of course Randy would find the LMB statue.
Wonder if this means they took DJ up on his suggestion of Steak & Fries (lame).
My version of Peoria includes a Gondola at Avanti’s and (several) Captain and Cokes at Jimmy’s… so to each their own!
I’m not sure I can trust anyone who has a different version of Peoria.
As far as food goes, if they boys don’t go to Burger Barge, then I don’t even know what we’re doing here
I’m more of a Jimmy’s Long Island and try not to die kind of guy.

Played Madison in West Peoria yesterday. Nice to see the superintendent took into account both Randy’s height and his affinity for benches. Central Illinois hospitality right there!
So who in the Peoria is down to recreate this Strapped season?
Shoutout to the Band Camp
