The Sauciest of Moves
is there an option 3 for “the rapture” happening first?
@Soly responding so much right now is one of three things:
- He feels the heat by how scummy his call was
- His private club is closed today
- Some schedule pod guest cancelled, again…
Could it be a combination of 1 and 3?
Strapped: Season 5, episode 1 (Soly’s heel turn)
- It’s rainy in Florida today.
JFC guis.
This might have been the best 30 minutes of golf content I’ve seen.
Great stuff @djpie.
My favorite moment had to be @Soly saying something about when @djpie plays the music and then on the very next tee Icarito spreads his wings, and we get the music.
@MerchCzar’s head has to be a crazy beautiful place.
Absolutely love it. Thanks for doing this, guis.
A bit devious at times. Shady even.
What a narc
I feel like this is a learning lesson for Icarito. When your brain gets scrambled like that, drop back to 5 iron or something.
Does the prevent defense work in golf?
It worked for David Sims in the Tour Championship, but Roy McAvoy stole the show with his all world 12.
As soon as that phone call was 10 seconds old, I knew what was coming.
I could see the cogs turning in Neils head, starting to question and doubt himself, doubt the validity of an achievement he had yet to complete.
Like a lady of the night emerging from the shadows into the round beam afforded by the street lamp, Miss, Big Left leapt into his consciousness.
The lip-hanging putts he laughed off at -3 returned to taunt him as Soly explained the course slope rating.
It was only going to end one way. I knew it, and yet my heart still broke as the 3-jab to go +2 rolled pitifully into the cup.
Nobody is a bigger Soly fan than me, nobody. But the scumminess of that move, that conversation, at that time, to a man as golf-mentally fragile, will live long with me.
The mega-bonus will live to fight another day, but a part of me has withered.
Could you clarify your comment for me?
I know you are an excellent golfer. Do you think Neil scores better than he should for his swing or worse than he should?
In either case, why do you think that is and what could young Neil do to score better if it is the latter scenario? I know he plays a lot of pitch and putts already.
Thanks!
I think what he is saying is that Neil has a gorgeous swing, a powerful movement with plenty of speed and hits it a mile - but his course management is a disaster and his putting stroke doesn’t hold up to scrutiny.
I would literally have hit 7 iron, 9 iron on that hole, especially those 280-350 par fours on the way in.
And someone please fix @MerchCzar pre re-hearsal take away. He has a very good swing but that shut, no hands rehearsal just spells pull or block!
But this will be done once, and then many many times. It’s just will it happen during Strapped!
Tough post for Ben the Presbyterian minister.
ah yes, the pastor over at St. Rappeo’s
