This “qualifier” was just a scam to expose all of you “card and pencil” types. Such a disgrace, it’s about so much more than that. The experience changes you on a spiritual level, but I wouldnt expect you guys to get that.

Does anyone ever step back and think how strange/cool this place is? We are a bunch of guis and gals that listen to a podcast/watch videos about/follow a twitter account/about a game we play.
Five professionals with real jobs quit their jobs to make those things. All of that is free.
We all said, we understand it COULD be free, but we’d rather pay you. Freddy needs to got to college after all.
Now a bunch of people who paid for the previously free stuff are going to play the game we love against each other. The prize is to play against more of each other. Collecting your prize will require you to travel, likely across the country.
Several of us are eagerly awaiting the results and/or rooting for the contestants of this silly contest - without irony. Most of us have not met one another. Yet.
Pretty neat.

Can we step back for a second and talk about pace of play from this group of our “peers”? Wasn’t the first group slated to tee off somewhere in the neighborhood of 11AM Pacific? Here we are 5+ hours later, and they’re still somewhere between the first tee and the scorer’s tent…
