Also noticed this… I have the free time to help get it started. I think applications for new Roosts open sometime in the fall. Whenever that is announced I’d be down to give it a run. There’s tons of golfers down here.

There has been quite a bit of discussion as to whether Houston would be better served by either 1) it’s own or 2) a cajun roost. I’m not sure if our Houston ass-caps have access to this thread, but I think it would be a useful conversation to start having now @jdubs, if you think you’re serious about tackling a gulf coast roost. We love our houston crew, but more than anything we want folks to feel engaged with their local community, and this might serve houston better. DM me and I’ll put you in contact with the most-involved folks in the Houston area to get their thoughts.
It also impacts Strohs planning for '25-'26 season, as we run a season-long points race that includes courses in Houston right now. Again, we’re more than happy to run it back in '26 like we did in '25, but this may be a chance to reorganize for the better.
