Western New York, Rochester specifically.
If you want to make this happen - Iām all in on sherpa-ing
Such a fun and quirky place
That would be awesome. It would likely be Wednesday, July 24th. I am planning to play Ravisloe CC early that morning, and then drive up to Eagle Springs.
Does anyone have intel on The Glen Golf Park? Place looks like it might be TOO goodā¦
I played it in October when I was in town, it was a ton of fun. The last 4 holes are great! I am gonna try to play it again in the summer.
They did an excellent job with the renovation there. The course is open and easy enough for a beginner, but has enough going on to keep better golfers interested. Iāll second that the last 4 hole stretch is excellent, I especially like the 7th hole there. They have a cool putting course that anyone can stop by and use as well. Village Bar is right across the street and a burger and beer there is a great way to cap off a round.
I live up the street and have made it out a few times so far this year (yay for March golf!). I donāt think anyone has said The Glen is TOO good but itās great for what it is. A beginner/family/senior friendly muni. Despite its design pedigree I donāt think anyone has walked off saying āwow, this feels exactly like Sand Valley!ā. Also not saying itās a pushover. Itās a great par 32 with a nice putting green and The Village Bar less than a flip wedge from said putting green.
Very much worth a visit but hasnāt hit TOO good status quite yet.
Is this entire post a ploy to keep the tee sheet manageable so I can walk down whenever I want. Possibly. Who could say.
Anyone played either of the Yahara courses yet this year? How are the conditions and how busy have they been? Was thinking of swinging by after work to walk a round but only if Iām not waiting on every tee box. Itās gonna be like 50 and super windy so Iām hoping its pretty dead
LAST CALL for merch orders. Iām finalizing the placing the order at the end of the week.
Thatās the one right off 90 right?
Place looks sneaky fun for a muniā¦
@midwestgolfbum coming in tonight but probably gonna be way too late for any shenanigans. We can meet up tomorrow night after I drop them off at the concert. You tell me when and where.
Most likely gonna stop by Stone Creek in the morning as well.
I should be wrapped up with my shit by 6ish tomorrow night from the look of my calendar and knowing the dog walking schedule. Let me put some thought into this finally and also @SupperClub come out to play.
That should work perfectly since Iāll most likely taking them around that time.
If you want to grab breakfast at one of our spots, go to: 527 E Silver Spring in Whitefish Bay, or 2650 N Downer Ave in Milwaukee. If youāre just looking for a great coffee experience and youāre close to downtown, then go to 422 N 5th St in Milwaukee. Let me know which spot you end up choosing. I will be around.
AirBnB is on S Austin St, was looking at the N 5th location since itās a short drive but if the breakfast is better at the other locations, that will win me over more. Iām a sucker for a great breakfast sando.
Grab coffee at 5th St and head to Allie Boys for a bagel sandwich.
Now this is the type of insider knowledge I love to hear
Henās Deli in walkers point is also a good lunch spot in the area. If youāre in bay view, classic slice for pizza, vanguard for sausage/bourbon, blackbird for beverages and pinball, Guanajuatoās for Mexican, three brothers for Serbian. I could go on and on.
