Good God, start hydrating/stretching now.
The guys usually get sick of my, āItās a golf trip. Not a vacation.ā on day 3 or 4. Trying to take it easy on the back half of this one.
Starting with 36 at EH is whatās insane in the membrane
36 at EH is a HIKE
Wow, weāre doing the same trip, just spreading it out a bit.
5-27/28 Erin Hills. Overnight stay gets extras and discount on second round.
5/29 both courses at Lawsonia
5/30-6/1 Sand Valley. Lido, Sandbox, Mammoth Dunes, Sand Valley, Sand Valley, Mammoth Dunes (waiting to replace one of these with Sedge Valley.
Iāve possibly got 2 spots available but I canāt accommodate three, sorry.
Might be a bit of an outlier but my feet have never hurt more than walking off Erin Hills.
Having walked a fair share of 36 hole days, I donāt know if EH is possibleā¦
God speed
Since Iām still waiting to hear back from them it sounds like a better plan would be:
Monday - Erin Hills 18
Tuesday - Lawsonia Links and Sandbox
Wednesday - Sand Valley and Mammoth Dunes
Thursday - Eagle Springs and Lac Le Belle
Friday - Erin Hills 18 and the Whitesox game
And if youāre really desperate for another 18 that Monday, Washington County Golf Course is close, EH lite, and arguably the best muni in the state (and home of the Wisconsin roost major this summer).
Plus kettle loop if youāre staying on prop.
Also LLB morning with cart + EH afternoon + Kettle Loop + Drumlin is a delightful day.
If you can stretch it on the front end, we have a Roost event at Erin Hills on 5/25!
Where are you going to be coming in from? Going from Erin, north to Lawsonia, west to SV, South to Eagle Springs/LLB, and then north again to EH is a little all over the place. You could flip Thu and Friday into a LLB am/Erin Hills pm on Thu and then Eagle Springs Fri am before Sox game
No Kettle Loop on Monday. May just be that Monday, being a holiday. Weāre going to play the Kettle Loop on Tuesday after we play our second round.
No kettle loop on Mondays for course maintenance. Itās the only time the course gets a breather.
Have to disagree that 36H at Erin is too much. For goodness sakes, someone carries your bag for you!
If you and your boys are in slightly decent shape, book it.
I didnāt say it was too much. I said it was insane in the membrane. Iāve done plenty of things that could be classified as such.
Itās a BIG way to start the trip. Caddies will help. Iād probably wear running shoes or something, too.
I guess the other way of looking at it is that if youāre going to do 36 at EH, do it day 1 of your golf trip not later!
A few folks that do that are even active/lurking in here!
Canāt say enough about fresh socks
Hello Wisconsinites. Going to be in the Milwaukee area Mar 20 for the Zach Bryan concert at Fiserv Forum. Not going to the concert, just taking kid and his friends, so if anyone wants to meet up while that is going on, Iāll be free.
Staying the night, any areas I should avoid for lodging? Havenāt done any searching yet, wanted to get an idea of where to look first.
In to meet ya. Can figure out some places as we get closer.
As far as lodging, if youāre looking to be close to Fiserv, most stuff downtown is just fine. But if youāre looking elsewhere, happy to help there too.
