#5 at Bishops Bay is a fun par 5.
Iāll throw out 5 at BWR River. Fun downhill tee shot out of the woods.
6 & 7 on straits are strong!
Hole looks beautiful, great postcard hole, in terms of how it plays itās awful after the tee shot.
7 at BMGCC, 8 at SV, 9 at EH, 13 at BMGCC, 17 at SV - I think should all be nominations
I think we could reasonably get a par 70-73 with world-class holes
Never played it, so no idea
Iām gonna fight like hell for Blue Mound and Erinās par 3s. Also loved 3 at BMCC.
Yeah, oneās that jumped to mind for me were 7 at LL, 8 at SV, 9 at EH, 13 at MD, and 17 at SV. Not having played Blue Mound but seeing pictures, could easily see those being included
Maybe a worst 18 is to be debated after this compositeā¦
Speaking of par3ās with big trees in the way, Iām going to ride hard for 8 at Grant Park.
Maybe one of the worst holes Iāve ever experienced. That tree is MASSIVE
If you canāt hit a 20 yard hook with a 4i, then get the hell off the course and go back to the range that they donāt have.
Oh they have a range, except you just donāt get the balls back after banging them into the trees.
I think this may be a stock shot for me with a 4i⦠finally found a hole that may fit this shot shape
Good call on 7 at LL - missed that one
Been tracking this whole thread just to nominate #5 at Glen Golf Park in Madison. IYKYK. Will put it in the running for hardest par 4 in the state. Made even more difficult by the recent reno which absolutely puts anyone walking up the 7 fairway in play.
For those who may not be familiar, plays as a dogleg left of about 440 yards. Approach shot through a roughly 10 yard gap in the trees so drive has to absolutely split the fairway. Green has a false front and long is dead.
Time to vote on the 5th hole
- Spring Valley
- Lawsonia Links
- Lac La Belle
- Mammoth Dunes
- Bishops Bay
- Blackwolf River
- Glen Golf Park
#6 step on down and identify yourselfā¦
Winning Composite Course: (one up tees)
#1: Sand Valley - 335 - 4
#2: Erin Hills - 358 - 4
#3: Mammoth Dunes - 518 - 5
#4: Lido - 550 - 5
Two nominations:
6 - West Bend Country Club (Langford and Moreau) - 557 - Par 5
Kicks off maybe my favorite two-hole stretch I played this year. Crazy land movement on this hole - can make it a three-shot hole and have a look at the smaller green (for a par 5) or go for it in two with a completely blind second shot from the bottom of the ravine.
I will say that I made par after topping my tee shot approx 15yds
6 - Mammoth Dunes - 344 - Par 4
The greensite it was stands out to me on this hole. The horseshoe green is super fun to mess around with. The hole presents some strategy off of the tee - try to drive the left side of the green and work the ball around the horseshoe or lay back and have a difficult second shot into the green
