Roll Call: WA (PNW Crew)

Canterwood definitely doesn’t do it for me. I played there in a Pro-Am last summer and although it is beautiful and well-conditioned, it is super penalizing with all of the trees and narrow holes. You know it can be a long day when the club pro is warning you on the first hole.

Maybe I just need to go see the Home Course again? I think I’ve played it two or three times. Potential Roll Call game?

Pretty much my experience too haha and for sure! We got at least 4 of us that are in the men’s club down there, so there are people playing it pretty often. I’ll def post here next time we plan on it

I’ve never played Home Course so I’d be down for the Roll Call game.

Anybody up for a game Friday? Not sure what the weather looks like

Depending on my schedule I could be down. I would have to play somewhere kid friendly because I will have my daughter with me.

Lynnwood muni is in that area and very similar to Nile IMO.

Hell yeah! Welcome! Live in Woodway and play mostly up this end.

True. Played there on my birthday… it was… foggy.

Would love to get in that WhatsApp group.

Hello everyone! Just joined, Seattle resident here! Been road tripping all around the west golfing all summer, but excited to be back!

Welcome! What part of seattle? What courses do you play up there?

Yooooo Seattle nation! We like that.

Mt Baker neighborhood, so if just trying to get out somewhere on a weekday after work then Jefferson. But otherwise usually one of the Oki courses or down to Home Course or Chambers

I did a quick tour through there and LOVED the golf scene in Spokane. I thought Indian Canyons was freaking brilliant and my favorite in the area.
Also enjoyed Hangman Valley. I remember thinking it seemed like a poor choice after the first 4 holes or so were quite boring, and then it was like BOOM. Hits you with some great elevation change and fun holes the rest of the way.

Any love for Washington National in here? Played there once and can’t wait to get back to do it again.

Of the Oki courses…and my feelings about Oki are well documented…Washington National is one of the better tracks for the price. I make the trek at least once a year.

I’m a pretty big fan of The Home Course.

Holes: fun with something interesting on all of them, love the views of Rainier,
Greens: depending on the pin placement it can be a go low or 3-putt day,
Conditions: always good (except those bunkers are like a pan with week old oatmeal encrusted on the bottom),
Atmosphere: nice vibe around the place and staff are great, and totally worth the drive down from/to Seattle for rounds.

For the price and experience, I don’t know of a better course in WWA.

I’d be interested in joining the WhatsApp group as well. Also @decentschott let me know if you’re every looking for someone to play with up on the north end of Seattle.

Playing 9 at Chambers tomorrow afternoon. Should be a nice sunset 9. Anyone been recently?

Went two weeks ago and was in great shape. Greens were a little slower (per friends/playing partners) than the last few months but I thought they were money. Played best round of my golf life
