St. Louis metro area has many golf courses that should not exist anymore and Crescent Farms is at the top of the list
The best thing that ever happened to Crescent Farms was when that train derailed nearby a couple years back and all that sulphur spilled out so the whole place smelled like rotten eggs and they discounted rounds by like 75% if you were willing to put up with the smell.
Is the SHOW ME SHOWDOWN gonna okay at one of those? Has the course for that comp been decided yet? Has the actual date been decided yet? Has anyone seen or heard from @Jrembold ???
He’s still working on totaling up the scoring for Beads and Birdies.

To all of my team @ConfluenceGC and @scagnetti
First let me say I am doing well. In the grand scheme of life and problems mine pale in comparison to the many challenges that so many of our brothers and sisters face every day.
I was transferred in a completely lateral move to a new account at work and while job security is still high, their onboarding process to the new team has been…. “Yeah, so you kinda get everything right…. Cool!”
The scores from Beads and Birdies are still being tallied, hoisted by my own petard on that one, but will be here soon.
As for the Show Me Showdown, an internal debate has been raging for about 8 months over whether to stay or go from my club. If I stay I think we can host it there. If not there are plenty of courses (Normandie) that we can have it at. But we WILL defend the non-existent trophy.
@scagnetti i apologize but just know that my lack of response and presence on the board is in no way representative of my love for you and the friendship that has been birthed from this stupid place
Hear here! Likewise. Same. Man crush forever restored!
Good Morning New St. Louis Friends. I’ll keep this brief as peddling isn’t my favorite thing, but I promise this is for a good cause.
This June, I’m taking on the Youth on Course 100 Hole Hike - just like our fearless leader Neil did in a Film Room last year. I’ll be walking 100 holes at the Fleming 9 at TPC Harding Park to raise money for YoC. I’m sure you all know by now, but YoC is dedicated to providing kids life-changing opportunities through access to golf.
You can read all about it at the link below. I humbly ask you to consider donating, no amount is too big or too small! And by all means, no pressure at all. Thank you for your time and consideration!
Is anyone playing in the Luck of the Irish tournament at Stonewolf next weekend? Has anyone played in it before? Two holes on each green with no pins really intrigued me so I signed up with a non-Refuge friend.
Were you able to sign up? Looks like registration is closed.
I signed up on March 3rd.
I need to confirm I can take off work but I’m going to try and play Wednesday afternoon if anyone is interested.
Im interested what time you thinking?
I’m good any time after 12. I saw Gateway had a prepaid time for $34 at 12:42pm but I can be flexible on course/time if there’s something else you like. I did get confirmation that I can take off work so I’m ready to book whenever you are.
Okay I’m in that gateway deal sounds good to me
Sounds good. I’ll get us booked.
Coming down to STL on Saturday, April 15th. Who wants to play golf that morning?
In.
Anyone want to play on Good Friday?
I’m probably in
