Roll Call: St. Louis - Buildin' a fence... and JRembold is gonna pay for it

No worries! Will do, thanks!

I love Glen Echo. It reminds me of St. Clair, where I used to be a member.

Dalhousie is also a treat.

Yeah, I was a member at St. Clair for a few years, too. Fun track, but I prefer Glen Echo.

Checking in on the thread and love there’s some St. Louis members being active. Wish I would’ve been logged in for those Glen Echo spots. Fun course. Live in Webster so used to play Tapawingo a lot before the floods this spring. Usually end up at Pevely or Aberdeen. Always up for future meet ups.

Right on. We’re hoping to get one put together before the end of the season. Typically post a notice here in this thread so keep checking back. Keep meaning to play Pevely, but I’m in Illinois so that’s a pretty good haul for me.

Awesome. Have a tee time to play Annbriar next Friday afternoon if weather holds. I was going to check out Stone Wolf but heard lots of negative reviews recently.

I’m out of town right now, but will be back the 21st. Stone Wolf was sorta meh the last time I played it, but it’s been a while.

First time poster. Long time lurker. I live down in Crestwood, would love to meet up at some point. Pretty much play all over.

Welcome to the Refuge!

LOVE Annbriar. Great course.

Stonewolf is quirky. It’s basically target golf. I’m not a fan. Same with Pevely. Too many layup tee shots imo and too tight.

Far Oaks is fun. Belk Park is a personal favorite and great value.

Played with @DivotPatterns today at Ruth Park. 10/10 recommend Ruth Park; $13 to walk, some really really fun holes, and in surprisingly great shape.

I’m always down to sneak out for 9 during the week!

I’m with @IlliniGolferHack about Ruth Park. Gotta be the best deal in town. Would be great for a 7 club round or any other format.

The 6th hole might be one of the best in St Louis in the classic architecture category

We need to get an StL meetup together organized sometime.

This is good info, there are a lot of times I don’t have time for 18 holes. Good 9 layouts are good to hear about.

I dig the 9 holer over in Ballwin, it’s usually in very good shape and the staff are extremely friendly. Easy to walk as well.

Has anyone played at Crescent Farms Golf Club recently? It was our home course in high school for a few years when it was private and known as the Players Club. Curious if the move to being a public course was successful. Always seemed to be in the middle of nowhere but maybe that has changed as the city has grown.

Sorry to hijack - I make it down to StL a couple times a year and was wondering if anyone knows of any reasonable national membership options in the area. Thanks in advance.

Dalhousie G.C. in Cape Girardeau is a great spot & good deal for non-local membership. It’s about 90 minutes south of downtown STL, though.

I’ve played it a couple times in the past few months. I’d say it’s a great deal for the money most of the time. I’d play it more often if the guys I play with would get on board with it more often. They just don’t like driving out there since they’re closer to Festus area.

Fox Run has a reasonable National Membership.

My club Glen Echo CC offers a type of membership for who people who live outside the area. It’s called Gold Medal and allows full club access and 15 rounds per year. The amenities are nothing special, but the course is a real treat. It’s old and pretty short, but the routing is fun and it’s very walkable. Never more than 40-50 yards from green to tee, and usually much less. I’ll DM you info once I hear back from the membership director about rates. www.gecc.org
