I was just texting Dr. Divot and suggested we get into a scotch game in our foursome.
It’s well known I will not shown up for a just for fun. A game will be played. In some way, shape, or form.
Was thinking modified stableford. But games within games are always encouraged. I know I had a McCarthy vs the world with @Rthompki and myself was on my mind
Guy has been at McCarthy for 3 days and now it’s “McCarthy vs the world.”
We’re such a cult that he hasn’t even started yet.

Zero days actually. I’m a simple man, give me a raise and I’m loyal
Anyone wanna play Saturday?
After my showing at Victoria National The Quarry at Crystal Springs last weekend, my clubs and bag are going on the TSR for a $500 bundle. 1 picture only, everyone knows the rules.
Anyone want a free golf bag? I have an older Jones trouper I’m looking to give away
Sorry it’s been claimed
Cross-posting from the de facto central IL thread. We’re looking at the 7th, somewhere around 9:30-10, currently have 1 spot open.
Anyone trying to play next Monday 10/9? I’m thinking about popping down to Crystal Highlands.
The second event of the Confluence Fall series is coming up. Last chance to get on the list. I’ll call the end of the week to cancel any extra tee times.
Alright fellas, I am embarrassed to say this but in my 10ish years of living in Columbia plus living in Peoria with somewhat frequent trips to STL I have never had a meal on The Hill(that I am aware of). Thinking about taking the better half to STL just to get out of COMO for the night for our anniversary. She loves pasta while I am lukewarm on it. Meaning I will eat pasta but not the biggest fan. Need any and all recommendations.
More upscale: Charlie Gitto’s
More casual: Anthonino’s
Guidos
Gian-Tony’s
Pizzeria da Gloria
Can’t go wrong with Gittos.
Lorenzo’s and Dominic’s are also good.
While we’re on the topic of The Hill - I’ve been given a mission by my pregnant wife. Her #1 craving so far has been for an Italian Sub since she’s been laying off deli meats the past few months. Anywhere on The Hill have an italian sub worthy of a first-meal-post-delivery??
The only answer is Gioia’s
