I should be in Bluffton/Hilton Head area early next year and interested in joining as well
There’s only one man for that job.
(but really he said he’d post a google sheets sign up later so by default)
I’ll have a sign up and some thoughts tonight after kids bedtime.
It came out sooner than I was expecting. Lol.
I’m up for the Roost and would be happy to coordinate/ lead/ curate any community.
I could probably even call this “work” and get credit for it. Ha! I’m in Aiken.
Are you around after Thansgiving?…needing to get back to Aiken GC
Hello All!
I would love to bring a Roost to South Carolina. One of my main goals that I would like to impart on you fellow south carolinians is to grow our group and I think one of the best ways to accomplish this is to set out a schedule of events in 2022. It just so happens that the NLU boys have set something up and will help us with this. This is all preliminary as far as our roost goes and I would love any and all feedback you have. What I was thinking is setting up a schedule to have 5 meet ups in 2022. My initial thought is to rotate them Columbia, Greenville, Charleston, Aiken/Augusta, TBD. Give everyone around the state a chance at a home event and then splitting the travel across the others. If you would like to hear more about the roost you can do that here.
If you are interested in joining the South Carolina roost please do so on the attached google sheet.

It’s View only
I have always admitted to being an idiot.
Fair, but also…fix it
should be fixed now.
fixed now?
Yes
If you’d like the TBD site to be greenwood, I’ll be glad to host. For 2022, one of the meetups could be the Lowcountry Boil event tho
Excited to see the SC events grow next year! We need to give the NC crew a run for their money in 2022. Happy to assist in anyway I can. Would be down to host an event in Bluffton/Hilton Head area.
My thoughts (and I have been wrong at least 3 times in my life) is I would like these to be one day make tee times come play golf and leave if you want type events. No mandatory over nights but you can tack on whatever additional golf you would like.
Greenwood is definitely a great idea!
what/where was that place you played today?
I like this for those of us who work on weekends! Thanks, Luke!
Riverton Pointe CC
Just opened at the end of October. Don’t know a ton about the history but from what I’ve heard the course was built around 2011 (originally named Hampton Pointe) but never officially opened. Within the last year they have put a ton of money back into it and are currently building the clubhouse/dining facility. Nicklaus design with some very cool green complexes and subtle elevation changes you don’t see down this way.
