I’ve got two open spots Sunday morning at Charleston muni if anyone wants to join.
Looking for people to golf with in Charleston area as well. Live in North Charleston/summerville area.
This strategy worked perfectly and my bachelor party planning is complete. thanks again for your help.
Is there any way to transfer tee times to others? we might have an extra foursome or two.
There’s a cancellation on the website to give tee times back. Good to do this a day or two before. You need the confirmation number from the email they sent.
I thought I would let you all know that sign-ups for the @PalmettoGolfSociety Roost Major are live and open to all South Carolinians!
If you have questions at all, lmk!
I’ll be in Charleston 5/29-6/2 (Thurs-Mon) - open to all recommendations (food, etc.) but primarily looking for golf recs (staying on King St & not renting a car so somewhat restricted on location)
If you dont mind dropping $1k on golf, caddie, food, and Uber to kiawah then play the ocean course. The non ocean courses aren’t worth the price. If you’d prefer to spend around $100, do the same but go to Charleston Muni. It’s one of the best municipal courses in the country and is incredibly fun.
Lewis BBQ, Hometeam BBQ, Rodney scott, 167 raw, chubby fish, little jacks, and halls are all good options. There are a ton of good restaurants downtown depending what you want
I’ve a calendar reminder set for tomorrow just before noon here in Scotland to log into Charleston Municipal tee times to snag something for next Thursday!
4:03pm booked on 4/24, which is about the 4th group out. There’s a shotgun event from 10:00am until 3:00pm. I will show up around then to see if they will let me out a little earlier as I need to get down to Bluffton that evening. We’ll see.
I grabbed the two other open times in that group and I should be able to join.
For anyone interested in the PGS Roost Major, we had a venue change to Sweetwater Country Club in Barnwell, SC (Near Aiken)
Anyone on here play at the Surf Club in North Myrtle beach? My wife’s parents have a beach house very close and wondering if there’s a way to get on to play while I’m down there.
If we were going to try and get one of our pros to get us on Cassique or River for a special round while in Kiawah, is there a preference on which one is “better”?
I havent played but from what ive heard: cassique is s-tier conditioning, and river is more compelling views/architecture. YMMV and give very little credence to me if someone says otherwise
Cassique is more quirky and fun. River is more difficult. Both have good views.
Have a last second opening for two days at sweetens and birdhouse
Anyone looking for an extra player next Friday morning in/around Charleston?
I tried Charleston Muni, but tee times gone in 4 minutes (!!) this morning - over 1000 people trying to get tee times at once…damn!
(I called pro shop and they said for me to go on out and they’ll work me in, but if anyone has an open spot that’s not as open-ended that would make my wife much happier…)
Check the site a couple times a day, people release times and they won’t get grabbed as fast.
Also grab one of the open afternoon times to start and get earlier times as they come open. You can return the unneeded ones.
Checking in early is good and waiting to go in a no-show spot when the starter says it’s okay is my standard path.
