Gentleman, I am coming to Columbia in 2 weeks and I might have a free day to golf. I won’t be bringing my clubs because I am checking power tools to help build a wall at my sisters business. What courses are somewhat close and have a decent club rental. Also what courses are recommended for a “slightly” above average golfer like myself. I am from Oregon and I have only played isle of palms out there.

Cobblestone Park GC (tee times only 48hrs in advance)
Oak Hills GC (always a good track)
Other public options:
The Spur at Northwoods (great greens)
Ft. Jackson GC (will need a base pass/security check)
Woodlands GC
Charwood GC
LinRick GC (county muni)
Better than all of the above, but private:
Spring Valley CC
The Woodcreek Club
Columbia CC
Club rental: no knowledge of the offerings at any of these, sorry.
