Greetings everyone, I’m new here. Not just to the refuge, I also just moved up to Philly from New Orleans. I’d love to be a part of this community. The Philly golf scene was a huge part of why I landed here. I look forward to the warmer weather, but for now will have to resort to 5 iron to get my swings in. Are there any other indoor places in the area?

Depending on where you’re at specifically in the Philly region, I’m aware of XGolf on 202 in Glen Mills, PA, Play-A-Round Golf in Malvern, PA and then 5 Iron in the city and TopGolf in Mount Laurel, NJ. Feel free to check out the private Electric Phactory thread, we’re currently brainstorming some options to plan a little get-together while we’re still stuck in freezing temps.

Did we just not want to go with the obvious acronym for Philly Area Roost? We might have worked too hard on the name. Or maybe since it’s the surrounding area we’re the “Around Philly Area Roost”… cause nothin’ says livin’ the good life like being ‘Around PAR’. So many dad joke possibilities.

I’m moving to Malvern at the end of the month. How’s the drive up to Stonewall for all your golf?
It’s an easy drive and well worth the 30-35min travel. Straight shot down 401. Fighting single lane rush hour traffic is the only hang up
It’s not the drive there. It’s the drive back! Get an Uber if you going to hang after the round.
Next Saturday will be 50 in the Philly area. Anyone playing?
I made a last minute booking online to play Northampton tomorrow morning. Excited to swing a club for the first time in way too long.
