Roll Call: Oklahoma "The Supercell" - The Roost's Greatest Logo™

Saw this tweet this morning and sent it to a member thinking that it was surely a joke

From a very solid source. LIV Golf will be coming to Cedar Ridge in Oklahoma.

Sam got deep enough into the LIV stuff that I may have hit the unfollow a while ago, but I think he usually has good intel?

Their crowds and infrastructure are probably roughly the same as an LPGA event, so this checks out.

My in-laws live on 18 and for a second I thought “oh that’s cool that they will see like the final group walk up from their backyard”

But then I remembered

I can confirm they want to have an event in OKC/Tulsa, and that CRCC has inquired about infrastructure build/tear-down and course repair following the event.

March 2023 is when I was told, which seems like a short notice, but it’s LIV so…

Ken isn’t a report on rumors kinda guy.

They can squeeze in a flight for under a grand if they’re willing to make 3 stops in Chicago, Frankfurt, and Muscat.

It all of a sudden made even my morning coffees taste better, a real “trickle-down”-type situation.

Maybe once I drop that @ScottyG guy I’ll finally be able to achieve total consciousness

Wow. Haven’t seen a drive by like that since Boyz in the Hood.

Whos got a good bar rec for Saturday morning in Tulsa to watch the USA match?

If you’re joining us at Flying Tee, go to George’s there in Jenks - it’s a “soccer bar” with decent food

If you’re just going to be in Tulsa, and don’t want to hang out with us that afternoon, then go to Elgin Park - it’s been a great spot for the US games so far. Empire at 15th/Peoria is another big soccer bar, if you’re looking for more of a dive bar atmosphere, without the food.

I’ll be there for Flying Tee so George’s it is!

Interested. I will see how Mrs Loaf feels about this. We’re planning a brunch with her fam at Bramble ~1100.

EDIT : I’m likely to join you at George’s, probably for the 2nd half.

Bump. Have heard this one goes big for the World Cup

Is the Fuddrucker’s still around in front of the Target on 71st?
That place was always hopping back when I lived nearby.

Gone - not sure how long it’s been gone but I saw the for lease sign on the building the other day

Truly devastating. Sure, keep pouring money into Union’s stadium, but don’t keep national institutions like that around.
