While I can’t make this boondoggle personally, I’d highly recommend making Tishomingo Golf Course (Tish National) your Sunday afternoon emergency golf on the way back from Dornick. Quirky, 9 hole Perry Maxwell that not many know about.

Thanks! Appreciate the recommendation.

@OliveLoaf I will DM you.

Update: after LaFortune on Saturday morning, meeting @OliveLoaf at Lincoln Park in OKC for a 2:50pm tee time. Sunday morning we have 10am at Dornick Hills. We may be able to squeeze more in so speak up if you’re around!

We should try to go to the grave of the great Perry Maxwell and pay our respects.

You should! Especially if you haven’t been. Hopefully y’all can get more intel on the construction plans. Would try to join but will be in Tulsa for the weekend.

Also adding a tentative stop at Lake Hefner for 9 on the way home, an old friend who is now in OKC told me they do $9 for 9 holes at 430pm.

This should be fun! Open to Saturday night recs for OKC.

@AlfredAdler had one helluva eagle today at LaFortune. Ripped a massive drive, then reached with a monster second shot (7iron from about 210). Drained a 40-50 foot putt to cap it off. Unreal.

Front 9 beat me up but 3 birds brought me back to my usual range of scores for an 87, which I’ll gladly take considering the 20-30mph winds up here. Next stop Raising Cane’s, then onwards to Lincoln Park. @OliveLoaf see you soon brotha

I do feel compelled to add there was about a 25mph tailwind. Enjoy the rest of the trip!

It was still a baller shot. Did I mention you were 40+ feet past the pin and on the way up to the green you said you thought it went long into the rough?

I’m sure something similar to this has been posted 100 times in the feed but I figured I would still post anyways. Just moved to the OKC area earlier this year and would like to start playing more frequently. I’ve been playing at Kickingbird when I have a chance but I’m always down to play anywhere. Would love to connect with some of you guys and get involved if some of you have some regular tee times or groups that get together!

Woof yeah it’s windy as all get out today. Very happy with a 90 at Mohawk with a 42 on the back. Haven’t played out there before. Hard as a rock but the greens were rolling nicely. We Couldn’t get on anywhere else but it was a serviceable course though. Back 9 definitely held more interest than the front.

Bagged 14 myself today. It’s not lost on me that my only two eagles in life have been with Refugees

Still have room for one more at Dornick tomorrow?

Let me call them and ask!

Also shit I wish I had seen your post earlier right as me and @oliveloaf were teeing off! Update on that round coming shortly

Hey so I got the answering machine at Dornick’s pro shop and left a message. I’ll call them in the morning tomorrow as well. When I booked it a few days ago they said they were pretty open before 10:30. I’ll DM you my number, text me in the morning if you don’t hear from me before whenever it is you’d need to leave to make a 10am tee time there.

In any event - welcome to the ā€˜fuge!

Ok, recap on Lincoln Park West: great muni. This place fuqs. Except for one hole on the back, a diabolical par 4 whose green is COMPLETELY surrounded by trees and about 40 yards due left of there the fairway ends. I think it was 16 but @OliveLoaf can confirm or correct me on that.

Speaking of our dear Ned, the gui played his balls off today. An early 3-putt gave way to a lightning round on the greens, and the man broke 80 for a reported 3rd time in his life. His 79 was the inverse of my score, a 97, which consisted of a lot of good shots and just some bad break/bad decision making. It also involved a lot of ā€œchunkfuqsā€, a new type of swing that I invented that involves an 8 iron and a geology dig.
