I’m sure now is the perfect time to shamelessly plug a Big Plex event at Dornick Hills, right? Right?
If any of you are true sickos, Big Plex is hosting their annual forward tee event, the Forward Press, at Dornick this Saturday. We had a few last-minute cancellations, so there are 3 spots available. Will it feel like we’re playing in Scotland instead of springtime in South Oklahoma? Most likely. Will it be wet? Maybe. Will you need to wear a harness to tee off on 17 with the wind gusts? For sure. Will you get to drink club specials with a bunch of our crew from south of the Red? You can bet on it.
What/where is unknown golf? I just got the exasperated “I don’t care” from the wife so jumping at that as not a no and would like to register before she changes her mind.
Just sent you a welcome email and manually added you to the event as well. Head to the App Store and download Unknown Golf. Once you get it downloaded search “Supercell” in the communities and you can join that way. Should be able to navigate to our homepage and see the different events and such. You’ll also now get alerted when communication gets sent out, although I try to reserve that for sending last minute event announcements and stuff.
Hello friends… quick question, is the Gusher open to all or just Supercell roost members? I saw that it’s only like 100 miles away and would be cool to tee it up with ya’ll, if possible. Appreciate ya.
Here is the link… BUT it may be only open to Supercellers first I’m not sure, AND that could also be totally wrong. So I would talk to @jsmoove first.
Also, I had trouble viewing another Roost’s event the other day so wouldn’t be surprised if that happened for you as well.
Are you registered in unknown golf in the GPGC community? If so, you should be able to search “Supercell” in communities and The Gusher should be listed as an open event for registration. We still have about 10 or 11 spots left.

@PushCartGodfather just saw our guy @McRib is also registered on Unknown Golf, looking forward to this reunion! Fun fact: the Rib’s wife was our doctor while my wife was pregnant and I showed up wearing an NLU sweater one day. It finally clicked why I recognized the last name so I mentioned the Bandon trip and she laughed and said “yeah I recognized the logo but didn’t want to say anything”.
I don’t have confirmed pricing yet from the course, in the neighborhood of $250-$275 though I would imagine. I’ve also not landed on a tee gift yet either so depends on that as well.
Should have a good idea within the next couple of weeks.
My plan is to only collect what’s due for the tee gift by May 1 and then have the remainder of food and golf paid directly to the course on the day of the event.
