Oklahoma is the south. Not Midwest.
South Oklahoma all the way up to OKC is essentially an extension of the DFW metroplex
Call it Midwestern, call it Southern w/e, but Hospitality will never go out of style 'round these parts.
As such, respectful debate accompanied with a side of sarcasm and washed down with a cold glass of comical hyperbole are all part of the local fare…
Long Live the Refuge, Ya’ll!
I’m a HUGE centerline tree fan. That tree absolutely boned me last weekend too but gotta stay true to my take
One of my favorite things in life is @RobRosson sending me pics of 15 pin placement when I’m not with him.
Also, since Dornick has been a hot topic in here, here’s a fun photo from my drone, just cause.
DHCC is an exceptional, architecturally interesting course. Anyone who says otherwise is a hater and a loser. Full stop.
You can not like it because you enjoy mayonnaise golf, and that’s totally fine.
Imagine disliking someone or thinking they’re a loser because of their opinion on a golf course.
Since we’re on the Perry subject- I played Buffalo Rock in Cushing for the first time on Friday morning. Gusts up to 45mph for the first 12 holes, and it was still a blast. Back nine loses a little bit of steam in places (not sure Mr. Maxwell intended the tree in the middle of the 1st (edit- former first, current 10th) fairway to survive this long) but I would kill to have a course like that around the corner for $130 per month.
Possibly the best feature in all of Oklahoma golf.
Not when you don’t know it’s there and hit a good drive for the first time all day.
But seriously- unbelievably charming place. Probably on my Sunday afternoon rotation this summer.
On #1, flex on em King.
Old number 1, current 10. I guess they switched nines not too long ago.
This saddens me.
Yeah the purist in me doesn’t like it, but it plays well with the new routing. I’m 50/50.
Smh, typical woke media propaganda.
