Thanks great info, also new to the Refuge here (located in Columbus). I’d love to join the OATW Roost and am considering joining the Nest. Any steps to join Roost other than reach out to @jgolf1 in here?

Uhhh, you left out the sweet laundry bag. Welcome @burtzbeez! NEOH here as well—Parma Heights. The Ohio Roost events this year have been a blast! Playing with Refugees is always a good time. We’ve got a really good contingent of NEOH folks. And joining for a local round most certainly doesn’t require Nest membership. YMMV, but I feel I get my 90 bucks worth between the hours of programming, access to the high crime areas of the Refuge, and the ability to tag more than 2 people in a post. I don’t frequent the shop as much as others, but if you think you will then it’s probably a no-brainer to join. Welcome to our weird corner of the internet!

What’s good Ohioians. I’m making the trip out to the Columbus area in a week and a half to see some friends and play way too much golf. I’ve currently got 36 arranged at Denison on Monday June 20th at 8:40 and 2:40. If anyone wants to join and maybe get some scouting for this roost championship I keep reading about, there’s still spots available on the website for each tee time slot. I’ll also be playing a few other spots on Sunday afternoon, Tuesday, and Wednesday if folks want to join for those too. Or if anyone’s got any open slots for those days, get at me in the DMs and I’d be happy to join

Golf’s longest day. I had the last group off 1 at Kinsale and with the two delays we were just shy of 7 hours. The camera makes it look lighter than it actually was coming up 18.

Hey @burtzbeez and @charwool welcome to the Refuge. Echoing what @creags said it’s a pretty solid place to call home. We are a pretty relaxed group but also very active through What’sApp ( WhatsApp Group Invite ) , events throughout the area and random meetups.

I didn’t realize you live in Parma Heights. I lived there when I first graduated college. This world is too small. We need to shrink the world and the obligatory shrink the game.

Yeah, we bought here in 2020. We like the Heights, but miss Lakewood/River. We wanted to buy there but couldn’t swing it. We’ll definitely be trying to get to River in 4-5 years.

I watched Cameron Champ on the front 9 at Kinsale during the morning wave. On #9 (600 yard straight away par 5) he had 210 in!

Hey all, my boss and I are going to be heading to Columbus for a work trip sometime around end July/early August. If there are any locals who have recommendations, please shoot me a message. Likely 7/30-8/1 is when we’ll have free time. Of course, we are trying to swing a work connection to get onto Muirfield, but good to have backup options

The OATW Roost championship is that weekend at Denison Golf Club which is in the Columbus area. Take your boss and show him what internet golf sickos are like. #gethiminvolved

Hey guys,
Had a captains call last night regarding the regional championship in Kansas City. If you are qualified for the Denison event and are eligible to go to KC we will need to know that soon so we can plan on how to break out who our competitors for the national championship will be.
September 23-25 - playing Swope GC and BCN - $400 for everything but getting there and your hotel
We will have the top four quota points, of the people who CAN go to KC be our total quota for our competition for the regional finals against Michigan and Illinois area.
