The owner of the course owns the hotel too. It’s a nice new embassy suites about 25 minutes away.
They are on central time. Make sure the buc-ees is actually open. They hadn’t even broken ground yet last summer.
I might be wrong, but I think the short course is supposed to open in the late spring/early summer, so you might be just in time or just a little too early for that.
I’m surprised they don’t have stay and play on site. It seems like every non-muni course in KY has a dorm or condos on site.
All the golf trip’s I know about in NKY started there before he took over.
Might not make sense from a business standpoint, but something that felt modern and clean at a slightly higher price point than the competition but lower than a resort trip would make a killing, IMO.
They just got the clubhouse built last year. It used to be a different course, they bought it and completely redid it, and I think over time have bought up some of the property around it, which included some old mobile homes and run down houses. I assume they’ll eventually have some on site cabins, but they just keep adding stuff one stage at a time. Course>range>clubhouse>short course>?
I definitely confused this one with the Huber Heights one. The one there was like two weeks from opening during the extinction last summer, which really bummed me out
Grew up and learned the game at Community.
Spent many summer days getting dropped off with my Junior Pass and playing til dark without a care in the world. Played for the first time in years at the end of last December and loved every second of it.
High Cotton is hoping to get to Park Mammoth on 5/2. Might be a little unofficial friendly competition. Sounds like we need to get to 16 guys to pre-book.
I believe Chad was still planning to run the points this year, with the Cincy event from last October being the start of the new “season”. I’m sure we’ll have something in it for match play. I think last year it was points for participating and bonuses for how far you make it? That’s probably the best way to do it as long as we figure out a good way to weight the points appropriately from from event to event
