Do you call it pop or soda?
Is Pittsburgh in the mid-west?
Do you belong to a retail club like Costco, if so, what was your last purchase?
Also, glad you don’t have interest in fighting and congrats on the sex four times.

I’m going to Ctrl-C this for many future responses not only here, but in my day-to-day life.
Brilliant.
A true who could say situation. I grew up going soda. Been married into pop for 10 years. Don’t really care and will drink either.
No, it is most certainly not. Yinzers are mid-Atlantic through and through.
Yes, Costco member (though monitoring). Purchased some Instacart gift cards. Gotta game the system (basically a 20% discount plus Costco cash back) and keep the grocery shopping easy. Aldi pickup is a game changer with 4 kids.
Thank you.
The pop/soda debate is a funny one for me. I was born in Dayton and moved to Cleveland when I was 3, but a lifelong Cleveland sports fan since my dad was born and raised in Cleveland. Despite all that, I grew to hate the word “pop” and switched to using “soda” when I was in high school. “Pop” is just such a harsh sounding word and I hate saying it.
Get out
Surprised you were okay with your Fourball team name of Pop City!
Be nice Matt, he just joined.
Also, everyone, I feel like we should have a welcoming questionnaire for everyone
We have to stop disinformation at the source!
Maybe even coastal elites. Too bad PA doesn’t touch the ocean. Otherwise, yup.
FWIW, Capital Golf Club has one that’s similar to your line of questioning (referencing back to some Roost-specific debates/humor that it takes some time to catch up on)
You and I are very much in the same mindset here. I cannot stand the word pop anymore.
Anyone else change based on where you live? Growing up in NW PA, pop was pop and subs were subs. When I moved to Delaware and lived there about 8 years, I went with soda and hoagies pretty quickly. Switched back pretty quickly when I moved back.
Pittsburgh is Midwest and I’ll never be convinced otherwise. Way more to do with culture than geography.
Pittsburg belongs to Siberia
This right here. Buffalo is also in the Midwest.
I always said pop growing up, but my step mom says soda, so when she moved in with us, I started saying both, and that’s kinda been it since then. I honestly have no idea which one I’ll say until it comes out of my mouth.
Don’t get me started.
Always funny to me when adults say pop. Actually lol’d first time I saw a grocery store aisle labeled “Pop” after moving to OH. Get serious, folks. It’s less stupid than southerners calling all soda “Coke”, but still.
I’d put Pittsburgh with Appalachia. It’s decidedly not mid-Atlantic, and it being midwestern doesn’t feel right for reasons I can’t articulate
This is all tongue in cheek I hope you all understand
Trust me, we do.
Coming from Appalachia (WV), I think this is right.
