Not sure if anyone here likes to play in charity scrambles. I put on a charity tournament for the BTD Foundation. We raise money for mental health awareness and mental health services in the city.
The event is March 22 at City Park South. Checkin/lunch at 11 tee time at 12. Food from Delanie’s, Blue Oak, Moe’s, Juniors on Harrison, Clesi’s. Booze from Tito’s, Urban South, St Arnold, and more.
This is our 8th year holding the event and it’s always a great time. Last year we raised $60,000 for the foundation. All the money the foundation raises goes to local charities, schools, and hospitals. If anyone is interested in coming out feel free to shoot me a message. Cheers!
how’s it going team? i’ve recently moved to shreveport and couldn’t find a thread for there so figured i’d see if any other north louisiana folks had ventured over to this one. would love to get some games going and meet some new folks in the area!
headed down from ATL for my first jazzfest and would love expert advice. we’re staying in the garden district so let me know if there are any must-go restaurants/bars in the area
I don’t usually venture out that way, but Joey Ks was always a favorite of my families growing up. The owners sold recently, but they did sell it to employees so I would expect it to be on par.
I like Katz’s deli over there too but it’s not New Orleans cuisine if that’s what you’re looking for.

I’m going to be moving to New Orleans temporarily in the beginning of April and will probably spend a couple months in the area… Looking forward to getting some games going with fellow refugees! Where does everyone like to play? I have played TPC Louisiana, and English Turn, as well as Joe Bartholomew. I have yet to play Audubon…

We bounce around all 4 of those to be honest. TPC and English Turn are the “championship” courses of the bunch. Batholomew is fun and cheap. Audubon is short, quick and fun. Let us know when you are down here and we’ll get a game going somewhere
No worries! It went great. Lots of rain in the morning but it cleared up and we were able to get out even though it was cart path only. Raised another $60,000 for the foundation this year.
I’ve settled in, hit the range at City Park, and I scored a Hot Deal for English Turn tomorrow. Would love to get a game going when it’s convenient! Refugees unite!
