Look, we’re all geographically biased. But can we also acknowledge that the recent rash of “meet ups” is driven by the motive of getting spots in the NIT? Scummy, at best.
Cmon, I doubt many of us are worried about the NIT, i know i am not. I would come out to LA to take you up on your offer before i go down to Jax Beach.
This Minnesota event was a long time coming, this contingent is active and you put us inside for 6 months your bound to have this happen. I don’t have any issue with the guise at NLU don’t grace us with a bid for the NIT but i am just one gui
Wisconsin native here, recently moved from Minneapolis back to Milwaukee after a 4 year stint in the cities.
I was honestly shocked to see Milwaukee get the nod over Minneapolis. Apparently Soly is hosting at Brown Deer? Maybe there is some Ryder Cup media going on during that time frame, just a guess.
Alas, I have a 12 man trip planned for Sand Valley that weekend anyway. 
There are worse reasons to miss that event.
You, sir, have been given an all-access pass to Lazville. No expiration date for you. But to say “I doubt many of us are worried about the NIT” is just off. You (and me) both felt MSP was a good city. But so does everyone in Kansas City, St Louis, Seattle, Sacramento, Memphis, Louisville, etc, etc, et fucking cetera.
I’m sure the MN event, with no date, firm location, charity element, logo or merch has been a long time coming. That’s what the RADCG meet ups have been doing for over a year- with no mention or need of an NIT spot. Correct me if I’m wrong, but has there been a RACDG event in Minnesota? So yeah, call me cynical that this pops up after MN gets passed up in favor of Milwaukee- a fine city in its own right.
For whatever record, I don’t even know what the NIT is, I just want to do hood rat shit with my Minnesota friends.

I agree the rash of pop up events seems to be scummy. I’m going to speak as someone who has already declared himself NIT ineligible for San Antonio…I was hoping they would hold a “local” qualifier in MSP just so they would be taking care of the logistics and no poor sap (such as myself) would need to be drafted into doing so.
That didn’t happen, there’s a ton of pent up demand here in MN for a meet up event, and I truly could care less whether or not a NIT spot is part of what we do. This crew just wants to do a good old fashioned get together here in the Cities. The date/course/charity/logo will come together, but I think guys piling in to put their name on the list shows we’re on the right track.

I don’t know about the RACDG events in MN as i just joined the contingent of RACDG this winter.
Fair enough i can see how all these events unfolding in this timing would pose as all of us looking for a bid into NIT. I for one won’t be able to go anyways so for me this is just a good ole fashion Minnesota get together. (Not the fair, i hate the fair)
Yeah, it seems many people are angling for NIT spots now (scummy adjacent), it means nothing to me though since I know I’ll never win a spot anyway. Plus, the fun had on the course is the best prize to me.
If we wanted to lock down a course today, I have a course but it’s not in the Metro and @Lazstradamus dissed the town earlier.

I know it’s January and I know you can’t play after Thanksgiving. Hard to find a day. I get it. I hope this goes well and nobody has to miss Schmitty’s wedding or the big cribbage tournament in Lac Qui Parle.
Let me close in saying this…
If you call this embarrassment “a logo” on the Refuge, and you have the audacity to call it a No Laying Up Refuge Event with said logo, and you have the gaul to call this a Duel…you are going to stand before the grand jury and it will not be pretty.
