Give me Les at golden hour with a few buddies and a couple cold Miller Lites and I’m not sure I ever need anything else.

Team Europe will be selecting first on 2/1

Captain @freesypop , are you feeling any pressure?

Team USA captain @Mystic , are you concerned at all about the course set up?

Would you willingly go back to $2 hangar steak after having a great ribeye, perfectly seared to medium rare and basted in butter?

well, we grew up in North Dakota…and didn’t have much money. I prefer the latter, but can still enjoy the former. I don’t mind a goat track once in a while with good people and good cocktails!!

In the immortal words of RGIII, no pressure, no diamonds. Team Europe will embrace the pressure.

Used to tell myself this same bit in college when I found myself studying at 3am before an exam I could have studied for all week. Very few diamonds were formed…I expect the same for Team Europe*

*unless I am on your team, then it’s completely different

A follow up question for captain @freesypop

What would you like Captain @Mystic ’s nickname to be on our next podcast?

@TBuhr33 you had a chance to get some swings in yesterday with some other players trying to make the Ryder cup team,

How do you feel about your game?

The people want to know, Is it true that @bignanski is a generational putter of the golf ball?

Continuing the metaphor here, lots of things to appreciate about this (specifically the $2). It’s the bad $50 steaks that make you never want to return to the establishment.

I’m starting to be shocked by beef prices at the butcher shop.

I got a chance to scout a few prospects for the upcoming match. Can confirm that @bignanski’s putting ability translates as well as one’s putting can in a SIM, but more striking than the putting - saw two holed chip shots, the man’s short game is dangerous. @Battisstatus himself came in with no warm-up, and after getting loose, struck some great drives and found good consistency with the irons - plays well above his stated cap in the SIM.

As for myself - we liked what we saw for the first swings since the Frozen Fourball. Putting, much like real life, is dicey, but thank god for gimmies. Still dialing in the new 2-iron, the aggressive chunk/hosel on whatever hole that was is haunting me still. But boy oh boy can we MASH drivers in the SIM. Cleanup a few pulled wedges and I’ll be cooking.

Thanks for having me on, always a pleasure

Disclaimer:

I have never been inside a butcher shop so I have no idea what I’m talking about.

Oh and most importantly; can confirm there is a solid selection of cold beers on tap for the players to enjoy during their round.

Why would I be worried about course set up?!? Clearly 8 guys who last swung a club at the previous meetup won’t have any problem hitting tiny fairways.

was there any cause for concern of the dreaded “double par” happening?

@kirkeide1 what’s your take on Le golf National? Many people are saying your 2i gives you a distinct advantage in the field.
