Brother, that’s our teammate. We gotta build him up!!!
I guess I will do a scouting report on my gui @TBuhr33
For the records- he and I finished T-3 at NSS2, not bragging or anything
Mr. Buhr is a sooooolllllid player. He hits the exact same shape time and time again with his driver. It is automatic. He is in play with a clean look at the green and he is licking his chops. He will tell you his short comings are in his approach within 100 yards but you will see him stick one to literally a foot right after.
He plays some tasty Mizuno blades that really get the heart pumping and he has a little bit of gamesmanship in him. Not to the level where you think he is rude, but enough to make you think “oh shit, what am I doing? Is this the right choice.”
The only question that remains is if he will elect to wear shorts or not on Saturday
You think you hit the ball far? You’re wrong. Daniel hits the ball far. Not only does he hit the ball far, he hits the ball with precision. He plays the game in a very calm and collected manner. I saw him get upset all of 20 seconds after missing a putt and walking to his cart only to be just fine once he was on the next tee. Aspirational stuff.
He is also a man that will help a fellow refugee in need of they have a headache (thanks again, Daniel!)
If you get a chance, check out his putter, the thing is sweet, but I’m a Scotty lover so take that into consideration.
Can confirm - @Daniel is an ice cold assassin out there and he definitely hits the ball further than whoever is reading this. Also has a strong enough back to carry a 210 pound man on his back for a full 18 holes.
Since Iowa State is putting together their most disappointing season in quite awhile, I will not be making the trip to watch them lose to Texas (reverse jinx) this Saturday. That frees my day up, so I thought I’d toss up a last second, no hope, nothing to lose hail mary to be on the wait list. Shame on me for not signing up in the first place.
I played with him at Lawsonia. I had no idea who he was, or how good he was.
He rolls up to the first tee and says “I’m probably gonna snap hook this into the woods.”
What did he do? He hit the most smothered snap hook I’ve ever seen in my life. I was amazed that it was even possible to make a ball turn that hard.
I thought, “Oh boy, this might be a long morning.” Then he reloads and hits a towering draw about 325 down the middle en route to an easy round in the low 70s.
I hope @TBuhr33 can keep the f-bombs out of his vocabulary during his next coding interview as his bank account is gonna be down the price of one custom ball marker come Saturday afternoon.
If you look up the word “Compression” in the dictionary (or Google it, whatever) you will find a picture of Mr. Kirkeide. He is a patient player and he does not allow the pursuit of distance distract him. He has plenty of it, enough so that he can leave his driver in the bag most of a round if he wants to.
If I could steal one of his abilities for my own game it would be his ability to mash the absolute hell out of his driving iron. I don’t know if anyone has described someone’s use of a driving iron as surgical, but that is the proper use of the word with his game.
Only knock I have on him is that he plays the same golf ball for too long…the one he was using when we played together looked like a ping pong ball. (He’s good guis)
EDIT: almost forgot to mention, I saw him make a birdie put while holding his nose up to the sky to make sure he wouldn’t get blood on the green when he got a bloody nose. Maybe THE biggest flex I’ve ever seen
Sometimes I think about how I probably could be better at golf if I didn’t have a bag full of Titleist NXT Tours that I found in the woods or I decided to clean off the clumps of dirt on my wedge before trying to hit a low spinner.
Ultimately, it’s all too much effort. Same thing with putting clubs in a designated spot in the bag. What’s the point of organizing them when I can just chuck them in anywhere I want?
For those of you who somehow don’t know, Mr. Nanski and I play a decent amount of golf together. I feel like know his game better than I know my own, and I’m not really joking about that.
He swings hard. Very hard. When the driver is dialed things can get dangerous but that’s not really what you have to worry about with Nanski. What you need to be worried about is his putter.
I say this in sincerity, when he is putting anything within 18 feet, I believe it’s going in.
The man is fiery. He is a Team Miura member, so what I’m saying is. He uses swords, don’t make him angry or you’ll pay the price.
High of 61 for Saturday. I don’t know what to do with this information. @TBuhr33 busted back into his storage bin to grab some shorts.
On that note, let’s talk about another member of team TBuhr, @TheRightSide
Now, many of you probably don’t know him, but I have known him since the 6th grade. He is yet another lefty in the field, and as has been stated before, he has a very fine taste in equipment.
Mr. Rightside is methodical. Hits everything through his bag well and isn’t afraid to try any shot but where he has a lot of control is with his short game. Flops, low spinners, you name it, he’s got it.
One final note, when he hits his driver, it goes KABOOM, baby!
@bignanski what is the scouting report on my partner @Battisstatus ? I’m planning on a net 65 out of him with minimal contributions from myself. How do I motivate him to greatness?
