Looks like Loggers is the odds-on favorite so I gave them a call. Tim, their GM tells me they’re planning to be closed M-F next week and will be evaluating whether they want to open again for the weekend based on weather and demand. He put us down for a block of 5 tee times starting at 10 AM and will keep me posted if anything changes.

For insurance purposes it’s probably prudent to get the backup venue lined up as well; @natecardingolf, can you hook us up with a block? Happy to call in if that’s easier.

It was someone who worked at the desk, she didn’t literally laugh but could tell she was amused I would ask about course closure

“Uuuuh If the weather doesn’t pick up we are closing Monday”

The people at VL did chuckle at me in 2020. Jokes on them.

Just my 2 cents, and that’s only worth a half cent most places, if @natecardingolf is willing to take us in and get us on the books for certain, I say we take that offer and run and not wait and see if Loggers is going to be open or be able to host us.

I agree with this sentiment. As much as I’d like to go to shamrock (loggers is fine too), I’ve never played southern hills and having a refugee helping us out would be sweet!

Guy at Logger’s basically said, “if we know there’s a decent group coming, I’d be shocked if we weren’t open”, but I’m down for Southern as I’ve never played there either. I only called Loggers first because it was leading the apparently useless poll

Got a couple spots open tomorrow (10/30) at Rush Creek at 12:10. My players card gets discounted rates for guests. Slide into those DM’s if you wanna join me and Mr. @BaxterMSP around what some may call the best public course in the metro.:eyes:

Best part - we all get to go off 1 starting at 10, then everyone else gets split between 1 and 10 after 11. Our guy owes us absolutely nothing and decides to hook it up, we like that
