I look good in blue for what it’s worth.

(Read: I will probably wear blue regardless of my team)

I’ll be a last second add if there is space available. Pretty sure I’ll be back for work that week, but not confident enough that it won’t interfere to lock down a spot.

I think I might have gotten bumped, no big deal, if you guys need a fill in I’d play.

Cc @Battisstatus

No you didn’t get bumped. You took @kirkeide1 ’s spot! You are in @loosh

If you had to play on team USA with @Mystic you’d have probably had an unexpected conflict come up too

I have some friends coming into town this week and they want to do Simulator golf. Hot take that I have: I think simulator golf stinks! Because of that, I haven’t been in at least 10 years. I know of a ton of places in town but is there a clear cut best simulator place? - I know there are some sim events happening on this post but wanted to see if there are any places that are better

Birdi golf is pretty nice in Woodbury. More focus on the beers there than the golf. Element seemed like more of a golf performance place.

Birdi and Element have the same type of sims, GolfZon, which have the moving floor to simulate lie angle. I genuinely enjoy putting on them too because I find it to be accurate. Birdi is much bigger and more of a bar atmosphere but it is definitely more expensive. Element is my personal favorite because it’s not overly expensive, they have good beers and good wings.

X-Golf is a franchise model, I believe there are 3 locations around the cities, they use e6 sims with the little putting groove and the one time I went it was one poor girl working the whole place by herself. Didn’t enjoy that very much. I think I went to Blaine for what it’s worth.

Optimal Performance in Maple Grove is more like Birdi Golf in atmosphere, they have a massive Envyscapes short game area, and they use AboutGolf sims. Still not entirely sure how I feel about these ones, but it is a cool space and they have Falling Knife on tap s/o @tj_denawli

Simulator golf absolutely does stink. I would love to see software companies create alternate scoring modes like closest to the pin in regulation so we don’t have to chip or putt.

I actually enjoy sim golf.

It’s not the same joy as regular golf, not even close, but it is very fun.
