Roll Call: Michigan - get out and play!

oh huge agree. I figured it’s outside the radius, but, its so nice up there. I have to contend with Rochester rd from clawson anytime I see my coach and I can absolutely confirm, it’s awful

Parents live in Rochester and spent the bulk of my growing up there. Great town! Hell, my dad even used to be on the city council, after he retired from the police department!

Had my first ever job there, caddying at Great Oaks Country Club. Though thats not in Rochester proper.

Neither did my uncles parents in East Side Buffalo. Almost all the other houses were straight bandos or no bueno in terms of habitants. Amazing they were left alone but hey the do unto others adage prevails.

Ferndale rules. Shout out the fried Brussel sprouts at one eyed Betty’s

I might look into this since I can’t make our major this year…

She better be ready to be disappointed with the lakes on the east side compared to Lake Michigan… it’s not even close unfortunately

Edit: Also, anyone who got me into my first set of Nike blades is fine by me, we’d welcome you with open arms

As someone who grew up in EL and eventually moved to metro Detroit, I’m always surprised how many people on this side of the state don’t acknowledge the existence of the Lake Michigan beaches.

That’s cause they probably have never been. Which is a travesty. It’s incredible over there. Would live in many of those towns in a heartbeat.

100%. Put me on that coast. Also, the public golf is better over that way.

Sadly the c suite golf is not as strong (south of luddington)

Can confirm

This is not a problem for someone like me who cannot afford c-suite golf anyway.

I won’t be surprised if our Fort Wayne guys find their way there…

Sounds like fun and I like Indy, but I signed up for the event at Landmand that weekend (also means the classic club challenge is out dammit :sob:). I’ve never played in Indiana so I’ll keep an eye out for your roost’s events

As a resident - can confirm, Ferndale does rule. Also the French Dip (Fwanch Deep) at Betty’s is so good.

Now that we’re live on UKG, there’s been some people noticing the Classic Club Challenge exists as an event and signups are possible.

I’ll create a more informative header for the CCC and put up an event signup post sometime in the next week or two. For those of you who can’t wait, here’s the short version

Classic Club Challenge (part Deux)

  • June 1st at Diamond Springs Golf Course, tee times blocked off for up to 36 players
  • Quota scoring event with handicap adjustments based on age of clubs brought. Specific handicap adjustments to be defined later, equipment must be documented and validated before the event for adjustment to occur
  • $85 per person

Welp, I showed my fiancee everyone’s posts from yesterday and she proceeded to spend like 5 hours looking on Zillow for houses lol

She said that Troy is likely a bit too far for her comfort, in case she has to be at St. John’s Hospital within 15 minutes.

Thanks everyone!

so like, my normal monday afternoon.

I completely agree with her, because the traffic flow to get to grosse pointe can be a nightmare.
