I would call just to make sure you can get on, might be a busy time of year with all the leaf peepers. We had a group of 12 when we played back in June and they were very accommodating.
Got a chance to play George Wright for the first time yesterday. Wooo boy, exceeded all my expectations. Great layout and conditions. Cannot wait to return.
Does anyone know of any good instructors in Mass?
Kohr Golf in Natick has a great stable of teaching pros.
I have had a few friends receive lessons from Adam Kolloff at Pure Drive up in Woburn. All speak very highly of him.
Second this. Have had very good experiences there (lessons, fitting, general range time) and have heard positive reviews of almost all their instructors. Besides the instructors themselves the facilities are solid, good short game area, trackman, and a couple covered bays that hit out onto the range ā seems like they have invested in the areas/tools that make it easier for the instructors to get you the most out of a lesson.
Pure Drive, Pat Bigelow and Adam Koloff
Playing Waubeeka this Friday on a visit to the Berkshires. Hoping for peak peeping
Has anyone played Wyndhurst Manor?
Played it 5 years ago when it was called Cranwell, not sure how much has changed since it changed ownership. It was decent when we played it, but I donāt remember much specifically about it.
Anyone ever have luck getting into Essex CC?
in to and on to are very different things. on to is doable, they host a bunch of different charity events throughout the year that are googleable. in to as in joining, good luck
Onto not into. Thanks for the tip, Iāll look out for that.
Anyone know where to find a decent map of The Country Club, with super extra bonus points for a map showing the composite course for the 2022 US Open (which is different than any previous championship course)? The USGA site is not up yet and the club website has nada, while googling has not been much help. I am particularly curious about where the various add-on hospitality areas are going to be, and a long winter of daydreaming of golf awaits.
@golferjoe you know which holes are being used?
Itās on the USGA site, itās just buried in hospitality section.
Question that I was hoping you guys could help me out with. I have this memory from a few months ago about a course in Massachusetts, I think on the Cape (maybe Maine though?), that was a small, 9-hole (I think) course that had like rebranded and was selling cool merch and had an interesting Instagram presence.
I thought maybe Chatham Seaside Links, but as far as I can tell, they donāt have the merch/Instagram presence of my memory. Itās not Highland Links, itās not Great Chebeagueā¦
Anyone know what course Iām thinking of?
Marion (in MA right before the Cape)? They just redid their logo to the George Thomas inspired Rose and are sinking a bunch of money into it to bring it back to where it should be.
Thatās a good thought but it doesnāt look like theyāre selling merch. I do really like their Instagram though (and I played the course for the first time in August and loved it).
Highland Links or chequessett?
