Acushnet River Valley is a fun track to play. Few holes on the back nine are wide open and fun. Lots of elevation change and 3/4 par threes are solid.
I second this, best value course in the area, try to play early weekday if you can otherwise it can be pretty slow though on the weekend. If you don’t mind waiting though totally worth the twilight rate.
Allendale in Dartmouth is a nice course, I played there for a few years. It does get a little boring after playing it for many years but for a few rounds it’s a very enjoyable course, and usually very good conditions.
Olde Scotland in Bridgewater was my high school course so I got sick of it but going back and playing nowadays I love it. Brian Silva design, the front is very open and a links style layout, the back is more wooded but still pretty open. Really fun course
Speaking of Cape courses, I got a summer membership at Captains in Brewster if any Nesticles care to peg it in the near future.
So I’m new to the refuge but have been an NLU fan for the past 2 years. Located in central MA, originally from CT. I’m looking to meet some like minded golf sickos in the area to share some rounds with. I have a couple friends that live in the northeast who I golf with but being in our 30’s now and kids have made our regular rounds less frequent. Would love to meet some fellow NLU lovers and hit the links and of course enjoy some cold beers. Currently playing the strapped life but always shooting for the C-suite.
Welcome, not exactly central but I live out toward Brimfield and Wilbraham. Play out of South Hadley but usually around to play in the area
Same here! Been a fan of NLU for a while but first time in (on?) the refuge. Based out of Providence but girlfriend is up in Cambridge so basically split my time. Nice to meet you all!
Myself and a few friends have played Cold Spring in Belchertown a couple times lately. Pretty solid course. Need to get back to The Ranch.
Myself and a few friends are based around the Charlton area and try to get out at least once if not twice a week. Definitely living the Strapped life but spend on nice courses every once in a while.
Love the Ranch. Really didn’t like Cold Spring but maybe that’s because I dislike riding and prefer walking courses. Really like Westover and Crestview is a good test as well. Wasn’t crazy about Heritage either but Kettle Brook is a great option out that way. I play out of the Orchards so anytime you want to come out let me know
Are you guys using The Grint?
Feel free to add me. I’ve got a ton of people from the Nest in my friends list but they’re all over the place. Would be cool to see some scores on tracks I’m actually familiar with show up in the feed.
Anyone interested playing Wednesday AM around canton? Was gonna try to play brookmeadow some company would be awesome
Getting back to the Ranch for the first time this season on Sunday morning. Was patrolling golfnow and found a deal for 60, seems like they tend to throw one hot deal tee time in the mix to get the clicks.
I can’t this week but what are some other good public tracks in the area? I just moved to Norwood. I played 9 at Brookmeadow last year. Course was solid but took forever.
I live in sharon always willing to host at Sharon CC (not cape club)
Alright cool! Was thinking of maybe joining there. Pretty friendly w the pro. Tell B Hayes I say what up!
Bri Guy would prob love to see ya! message me whenever and we can figure out a time.
Also @JShaw will likely sherpa you around DW field in Brockton, great public track there.
Absolutely I love bringing folks out there. Let me know anytime.
