September sounds like a lovely time for a Refuge event in MA, it will be possible to hold events by then.
Anyone interested in working on putting something together? I’d love to get some New Englanders into the NIT.

I am in. I live in RI, and the course looks about 2 hours away. Need some guise with bad accents from MA and RI in there for sure.
I’m down to help out as much as possible once we see what we are working with for Covid restrictions. I know certain courses are unwilling to talk about hosting tournaments until they have a better understanding of what they will be able to do this summer but I have already started thinking about where we could host an NIT qualifier.
We may get more guys if we look more central MA as opposed to west of Springfield. Also down to help either way to get something going.
I’m right on the MA/CT line in Enfield and would be in on a qualifier and would potentially help out.
If you go to Littleton NH, you can play Owls Nest on the way off of 93. Nice white mountain course. Also if you are a lake guy I’d recommend Newfound Lake, also can hit that spot on the way.
If you are in Portland Maine you have got to go to Eventide Oyster Co.
I did a golf weekend in Maine a few years ago and played Sunday River, Belgrade Lakes and Boothbay Harbor CC. Belgrade Lakes is probably my favorite course I’ve ever played. Sunday River was awesome as well. Boothbay was nice, but you need to stay at Boothbay Harbor Resort to get on there and I’d say its not worth it.
Speaking of mountain courses, I played Green Mountain National near killington this past fall and it was a blast, beautiful course I thought
There had been some talk last year about trying to do an official qualifier in New England around the time of the new Korn Ferry event in Maine. I take it that is not in the plans for this year?
Trying to get an idea of where the remaining Nest members are located before we commit to a course for the NIT qualifier.
Going off that map and understanding we haven’t locked down a date, if you would like to play in the qualifier, let us know where you would be coming from.
I voted even though I am only up in NH in the summer. So I would be very dependent on the date, but it goes without saying not to plan around me!
I live in southeastern CT but if there’s an NIT qualifier anywhere in Massachusetts I’d go
Sorry I forgot to add Connecticut as an option but I will make sure to keep you in the loop once we start to iron out some details.
Hey Mass Golfers: I wrote an essay about golf courses and albums of music and the Fried Egg was cool enough to publish it. It’s not all directly related to golf, but I wrote about George Wright and it also includes some photos of Cape Ann Golf Club. Check it out if you please.
Very cool article sir! Need to get out to George Wright, haven’t played much golf in the eastern part of the state
Anyone wanting to play George Wright let me know. I’ve had a membership there for 6 years now and glad to sherpa anyone around. Same goes for William J. Devine at Franklin Park.
I would like to lodge a complaint that Vermont is not represented… That is where I will be coming from, I know I am alone in this but I will be coming (as long as it’s not the weekend of my pandemic second wedding).
Owl’s Nest is my home course, and I’d be happy to sherpa anyone around there.
Somehow, I grew up in St Johnsbury and never played Owls Nest. I’ll hit you up this summer, hoping after the move, I’ll be a member at VT National so maybe we can swap rounds at Nicklaus courses.
Hell yeah, man. I’ve only heard good things about VT National, would love to get out there.
Marking these both down for my hopeful summer trip
