Roll Call: Maryland

Haven’t yet. But I will soon. :grinning:

It’s about a 5-minute drive from my house. I drive by it pretty regularly but always seem to forget it’s there. I think my buddy and I are going to check it out in January after the holidays.

FYI- Fairway Hills in Columbia is opening their indoor simulator on December 26th.
Lessons and rental time are being offered.

Hi guys, planning a trip for June 2021. We need to drop one course, it’s between man o war and war admiral. It will be a Sunday morning tee time early.

Which course should we keep and why? Thanks

Man O War conditioning is usually better. I like War Admiral better course-wise but since they have gone from private to public the conditions are very average at best. Depending on your group Man O War May be better since Admiral has a number of forced carries and a couple weird tee shots

Perfect! That’s what I was leaning towards. We have some really good players but others that well aren’t hahah. This will also be out last course of the trip. Thanks

I cannot express how much I loathe Man O War. It is a wanna be links course where you cannot play the ball on the ground. In a housing development.

It’s for suckers going to OC

I’d drop em both and stop at Nutters Crossing or River Marsh on the way back toward the bridge. But that’s not what you asked. LOL

Agree. Or play Rum Pointe twice. Hell, play OC Yacht Club (Seaside) instead. It’s next door to Rum Pointe.

But fuck Man O War.

We mixed it up and played bayside last time in OC. Really enjoyed it.

Ding ding ding. Playing rum point more is ALWAYS the right answer

Nutters is the most underrated course on the shore. Some of the best greens at any public track around.

AM Solo run at Pine Ridge, was supposed to be in SC and playing at the Ocean Course today, but had to cancel because of work travel restrictions. The rain holding off, and getting around in less than 3 hrs. is minor consultation.

Excellent!! Fun course and even better when you can get around in limited time

Anyone who wants to play with me in 2020 and is planning on not sticking around here, feel free to email me or hit me in my Twitter DMs.

2021 resolution - meet and play with more MD refugees! I’d be happy to organize a more consistent effort via WhatsApp or minimally a google doc where we can post tee times/availability. Enjoyed a few rounds with @uglypar @FootWedges to end the year and look forward to playing with more of the regular contributors in here.

Great idea. We need a more active Maryland group. I play a couple times per week and have met up with a few refugees. Always a great game. Would be good to have some smaller events around Baltimore and also the larger DMV ones. There’s plenty of us around to get some good games together.

Happy 2021, folks!

Nest newbie here. I look forward to connecting with community members in the region. I’m a TPC Potomac member and play a bunch of the public courses in the area. Always down for meeting new golfers and checking out new courses (preferably when it’s above 35 degrees).

As a non-nest member, I see my DM privileges have been revoked. Definitely makes it harder to exchange info and meet up with local friends w/o fully doxxing (if that matters anymore). Hi all my real name is Devin.

Will be posting upcoming rounds on here and I’ll always book for 4, feel free to claim any open spots and we’ll figure out comms on the back end or just meet at the course. It’s usually just @jhughes2242 and me, so the more the merrier!

1/9: Forest Park, 9:12a. 2 available openings
