Checking in as a part time golfer from Dublin…
Cheers. I’m a Sligo man so the Connacht championship hasn’t been intersting in a while
Welcome.
Definitely getting some decent Ireland representation here! Let me know if you want looped into the RACDG GB&I WhatsApp.
Good Morning All,
New refugee to the forum… just wanted to introduce myself to everyone after seeing the potential Scotland Trip next year…
Kent Golfer, play in Folkestone off 16, always happy to have a hit with anyone Kent based if they are looking for a round…
Love the content the boys at NLU produce, like nothing else I have seen online…
Crack on!!!
Nath.
Welcome, I’m also in Kent but up by the M25. Folkestone is a great location for golf, the Open links one way then Littlestone the other – the Warren is a really underrated and fun little course.
4 groups of 4 have already booked links tickets for St Andrews & got tee times (TOC excepted) but there’s plenty of scope for more players I believe, there are definitely others looking to book.
Spot on Lemurs, great location and highly recommend the Sandwich Links for a stay and play, have a soft spot for Littlestone as well.
Gutted I missed the last event at Princes and RCP but if @The_Cad_Says ended up soaked through I may of dodged a bullet with the weather.
What course are you a member of @Lemurs?
I wasn’t there but I’d say bullet dodged, wearing glasses I can’t even see properly in the proverbial proper links weather. The week before in similar weather I played to the wrong bloody green as I couldn’t see.
I’ve made an effort to play somewhere different every time this year, all the courses in NW Kent are mediocre parkland. The ‘best’ is the London Club but I found it fairly dull. Walmer & Kingsdown is the main one I’ve not played down your way, I’ll have to try it once the weather improves. Have you played there?
It had its own charm. And has provided bar drinking stories for years to come.
The front 9 was nice and day 2 was sublime golfing weather.
Fellow NLU Refugee Members - since posting the Roll Call ive neglected the forum! Not all is lost though - I’ve been busy with a little project called evalu18.com Have a look - it is a free resource for finding good golf in the UK & Ireland… Hope to meet up at some point along the way.
Good to have you here Evalu18
Morning everyone
New to the refuge, I’m in Ayr in Scotland, home course is Prestwick St Nicholas. If anyone is over for a game, give me a shout…maybe wait till it’s a bit warmer though
You live in Prestwick, you say? Got a couple of spare sofas you say? Happy to host fellow golf nerds for free you say? Preferential rates at Prestwick you say?
You are most welcome.
South West London here. Member down at Bletchingley GC but always looking to get a game on the weekends or throw in a cheeky road trip!
Let me know if you guys want involved in the RACDG GB&I chapter. We have an … ahem … fairly active group of about 40 of us. Lots of casual matches and group outings.
Cool bananas. Ping me over your name and number and I’ll loop you in.
Aussie - currently living and working in London. Definitely interesting in playing/experiencing some London golf whilst I am here!
Nice one, there are a few of us in and around London. Get involved!
I’m over at RAF Lakenheath. I’ve never played Thetford. How is it this time of year?
Ironically, since writing that post, I have moved to a different club.
This time of year is when Thetford shines really. It drains easily and so very playable. It’s worth a green fee
Morning all, long time lurker here and deciding to throw my bucket hat into the ring.
I live in Gateshead in the North East, UK and always up for a game, if anyone is in or near the area.
