This is the first time in the four years I’ve lived in CO where my house is genuinely freezing and won’t get to a comfortable temperature. The thermostat in the den hasn’t registered above 60 in 24 hours despite having it set at 72. Tough scene.

Definitely get that checked out.

That’s more than just cold. Something seems wrong.

Appreciate the advice. Just emailed our hvac guy to see what’s up.

Could be worse. This was taken this morning at the state park about 10 miles north of where I grew up. Right on the ND/Manitoba border.

I went 9 under on 9 at Homestead

-9F maybe.

Had the enjoyable experience of helping someone move today. I guess you can’t choose when you close on a house, but damn was it cold. Luckily they were extremely prepared and it only took about an hour to load and less than that to unload.

We won’t be teeing it up out in the NE corner until middle of next week at the earliest. Trying to keep the swing in shape chopping ice out of the cattle tanks this morning

That old handle looks like a recipe for splinter city.

If anyone is interested I have an extra spot for a 10:24 Legacy Ridge tee time on Saturday (assuming it doesn’t snow too much tonight and melts before then). @tylersucks is currently on the tee sheet too

Good luck. I live across the street and we’ve got 2 inches so far and still coming down. I’d say Saturday will be doubtful for LR given the shadows from houses. The wind is supposed to be blowing on Friday so Walnut would have a better chance for courses up here.

Yeah it’s looking bleak right now.

Hey gents - I’m new to the Refuge / recently moved to Colorado (Boulder). Look forward to mixin’ it up with y’all.

Well your definitely in luck. It feels like the majority of young golf sickos in Colorado are around Boulder. I’d say most of the good metro area golf is north of Denver anyways, except for Common Ground.

Good morning p_c and CO brethren.
I’m new as well - I’ve been lurking for a while and decided to take the leap.
We moved up from Denver this past summer and I haven’t played a ton up this way so I’m looking forward to it, especially based on what everyone says around here!
It doesn’t seem like we got enough melt the last few days - is anyone going to try to go play today before another massive dump?
Cheers

I’m not going to play, but Willis Case and Overland are open all day. Kennedy and Wellshire are open this weekend. I would guess that other courses on the west side of town will be open today.

I actually did get out today @ Colorado National - was beautiful.

if anyone needs a 4th some time I’m def interested in meeting some new people and trying out some new tracks. Cheers!

For those that don’t know, the Denver Golf account tweets out course condition updates in the winter:

Way better than calling around or trying to navigate a bunch of different websites.

Only for Denver public courses though, right?
