Roll Call: Colorado -- @PJM v Colorado Golfers, @PJM only half guilty

A huge middle finger to that guy….

Mad props to the group just casually putting out while the field is on fire right next to them.

Major “it’s fine” meme vibes.

So that’s my group putting out (granted, I didn’t know any of the 3 guys I was playing with, was just playing as a single)… a couple of hilarious things that occurred (if you’re willing to ignore the fact that my favorite course was on the verge of catching fire):

  • When we get to the tee box, there are a whole bunch of carts/people standing in our (the 9th) fairway watching the flames. I’m thinking to myself 1. should we even be here right now? and 2. we definitely shouldn’t hit with all these people in the fairway. Despite me even saying these things out loud to my playing partners, all three of them step up and just immediately tee off without a second thought
  • As we get up into the fairway, more people have gathered along the left-hand side of the hole. My playing partners all just set up and smack their second shots towards the green. Having just watched them all play 8 holes, I personally trusted nobody to not accidentally blast some fire onlooker with their approach shot, and yet here they were, swinging away!
  • Then, as we approach the green, at which point the sprinklers are about to be turned on and the flames are getting closer, these guys go up onto the green, mark their balls, line up putts, and just putt out like nothing is even happening! I don’t know what they should have done but I was just in awe of their seeming lack of concern or general unawareness? They then walk over and go “man you can feel the heat from the flames on the green!” I was like uhhhhh yeah, the flames are 25 yards away.

I didn’t actually play the hole because of the above reasons, but I was both laughing and slightly crying at the fact that these guys just played out without a second thought. Then one of them asked if we should just tee off on 10! I was like, uhhh no my guy we are on the verge of being evacuated from this property.

In the previous photo from reddit, you can see me in a yellow sweater if you zoom in, standing in awe at what I just witnessed. Weird day. I hope the course is okay.

Would love to tag along but already have a trip planned for that weekend!

Your brush with greatness

Somebody listened to the Michigan recap pod and resorted to vigilantism on @Tron behalf.

(I know he likes CG)

Goddamnit @Randy. You’ve taken your shrink the game agenda too far this time.

Since it doesn’t snow in Denver anymore, does anyone have a tee time they need help filling?

This is fairy dust

If we could get as much snow as possible that would be great. Don’t really want to deal with drier conditions next year and half the state on fire.

Completely agree. Some snow is better than no snow but……this is a dusting. At least the mountains logged some legit accumulation

To be fair, you haven’t really experienced Denver public golf until you’ve been challenged to an on-course fistfight
