If the Super League finals weekend doesn’t turn into a larger NLU event, we should 1000% try to do it at Homestead
Wow. I didn’t even recognize it from the photos. Probably because the only time I’ve played it, it was a frozen wasteland. I need to get back out there.
Ok if we pool all of our money, think we can buy Homestead from the city of Lakewood and turn it into our own little refuge refuge?
I will alert you when the crypto’s are flying again, should have the capital then
Looking forward to buying Doge Links at Homestead
I could be convinced to hedge my crypto bets with buying a golf course. I think we could add a tee box close the bridge on #5 and make it a super long 4 or par 5.
We could do some reverse routings…
Coins Crossing at Homestead? Doge Dunes at Homestead?
definitely room out there for some member tee boxes
I’m going to need some credit on this site for introducing @jhkaplan to Homestead.
Homestead is great, and I would recommend it to any out of town guest that is okay with an executive. The one thing I’m not a huge fan of at Homestead is that a couple of the par 4s take driver out of your hands. And the one par 5 is long and pretty boring. I’d easily put it in my top 5 Denver-area courses, but it’s not the best.
this is why we need to buy it! couple slight hole renno’s and we’re in the $. The lads have ideas
Every time I go there I think about what you could do to lengthen/improve it. That driving range is definitely unneeded and has some really great land movement, and there’s a big unused area back behind the range towards the retention pond that would be nice to use somehow. Also, get rid/move the practice green to lengthen 1 a bit.
NIT spot up for grabs???
developing story, but seems very possible, currently in negotiations
ENHANCE
@jhkaplan - I think it would appropriate to do our match at Homestead…
get him during the swing change! there’s blood in the water
Can I give a quick S/O to our boy @Josh-P for bringing home an NIT spot from Gearhart. I was putting pressure on him all weekend and the boy came through!
Homestead is great. Have any of you played 18 from the upper tee box off 17 green? That makes for an adventure. I also agree the #2 is a great hole.
The pressure was real and fueled the first, and best, persimmon shot of my life. It may have been one of my better shots all week.
I think it was the good luck vibes @Privatecollection sent my way Thursday night when she grabbed my putter on the clam bed and nailed a ~40+ foot putt in front of everyone like it was no big deal.
Unforgettable week and I can’t thank you enough for organizing and keeping the wheels on all weekend!
@Josh-P quietly holding the 3 spot, some say dark horse SL contender
