She ever visit Jimmy’s and have reviews? With how my work day is going, may walk over there in a couple hrs.
Not that she’s told me about.
Pizza Factory or Sergio’s in Barrington are my all time favs. My Dad was obsessed with this place called Charlotte’s that used to be by the intersection of Ela and Route 14, they made ultra thin and crispy crust…I think it closed like 25 years ago lol
Louie’s Pizza or Little Italian Pizza in Naperville were my thin crust spots
If they made double dough they’d probably still be open. Let that be a lesson to @teddypargame.
A true who’s to say?
Technically it closed twice, this guy tried to open a spot called “Remember Charlotte’s” a few years ago in Barrington and I don’t think its around anymore.
plays golf
“Oh, Chicago thread poppin off? What happened?”
I think Remembering Charlotte’s is a “Polish Bistro” now whatever that means. I had RC once, it was aight. Sergio’s was also good but not as good as PF.
Yeah Pizza Factory is king in Barrington
My take has more to do with the fact that I’m not eating carbs than where I currently reside.
I love all pizza though. 15 years in the city I had plenty of Chicago’s best. But carbs are gross is a mantra I must tell myself for #goals.
speaking of carbs, the best tacos in the west burbs can be bought here on sundays. They do a char-broiled chicken taco and it is phenomenal.
Live 3 minutes from Los Dos, so that’s a close second. Bonus points, sometimes there’s a young kid running the register, he’s in a junior golf program. Always drop him from NLU or whatever branded tees I have sitting around.
Re: Brasi’s, i always order well done, maybe I had the same experience early on. But it’s family run and try to support that.
As a huge Grazianos and Bari fan, Berto’s isn’t quite up to par, but well above average when the Italian sub itch needs to get scratched.
Sonoran dog at Boss Dogs is my jam.
Also, Thai First over VIP Thai all day
I often do this at pizza places, especially busy windows where they may pull early.
Kinda new here, but looking to play Ravisloe sometime next week and apparently you can’t book a tee time for just one. Anyone want to play?
Played Settlers Hill today.
Golly it was so freaking firm. Just a joy. Ball bouncing every which way. Got 20 yards of extra roll on a drive in the rough on hole 1 and then hole 2 got a shitty bounce at ball ran 15 yards the wrong way.
Must get to during the last month of summer.
Only thing that was a tad annoying was beat up greens, but ball still rolled decent. It was more patches of dead grass and less old pitch marks left.
I always thought you were a stand up gui.
Thanks for confirming it.
Don’t tell @TeddyPargame but he turned me on to Kenji no knead dough. If you have a cast iron skillet you can make that beautiful to-go pie at home.
glad to see things haven’t changed with the renovation. Still need to get out there.
