Roll Call “Chicago” (Part 2)

My favorite bridge story is the first day we moved here in August 2020. Went to return the Uhaul after “curfew hours” which I had no idea about. Had to pull up our lease on the phone to show a police officer at one of the highway exits to the loop. From there, we had to go the wrong way down a one way street (because the bridges were all up) to somehow find our way back to our new apartment.

The cop told us, “you picked quite a day to move here”

74 has trumped centennial by leaps and bounds. Truly a modern marvel

Gonna have to go with the North Avenue bridge on this one.

It’s great because you can get a great look at it when traffic is backed up from the highway all the way over the bridge

Welcome to Chicago, Seth. You can go north and south pretty easily. You cannot go east and west without it taking 10x longer than it should, because every east/west artery bafflingly goes from two lanes to one lane just long enough to fuck everything up.

Very very aware. It took me 25 minutes to go one(1) mile to Home Depot at 5pm the other day. Was it a mistake to go at rush hour? For sure, but we needed firewood.

I think jewel might sell it if that’s more convenient.

Anyone want to take my place tomorrow for March mudness? I woke up with the flu and don’t want to pass this along to anyone at all

Also woke up sick as a dog today. Opening up a spot (preferably a lefty) here for anyone interested in joining. Hit em well fellas!

Cross posting in case anyone has the golf bug after the mudness

Also does anyone know of a reasonable shop in Chicago that can turnaround a grip install for 13 clubs before Thursday?

Asking bc I have put off getting new grips on my clubs for far too long
