4somes back 5/29 per JB.
Any other details!?
Gov. Pritzker: “As for golfers, in Phase 3 courses can allow foursomes out on the same tee times. Carts will also be permitted with only one person per cart or one immediate household per cart.”
Ohhhh we like that
League is fucking back. Let’s go!
You were not having a good time.
I was not. And of course I ended it with absolutely piping a drive on 18. What could have been…
Btw, I’m down to play Springbrook whenever.
It is literally impossible to get tee times there. I think they have been offering them to members first because I have logged on at 6am on a Saturday and everything is booked for the following Saturday already.
For example, even next Thursday the only tee-times available are 6:45 and 7:00.
Mt Prospect is the same way. Hopefully allowing foursomes will open tee sheets back up a little.
I still have not played there mostly because even before all of this mess it was hard to get good tee-times
I logged on the second MP opened the other day for 7 days out and every time I selected bombed on checkout. The twosomes every 15 min are great, if you can get one.
A “good” tee time at Mt Prospect on a weekend is before 9:00 am. Go off after that and you’re looking at 5 hours at least. It’s the only golf course I’ve walked off.
I’m in the same boat as @JBors - never played it but would like to. I’ve heard that pace of play is bad, but that sounds horrible.
On another note, playing Calumet CC for the first time Monday. Looking forward to seeing it.
The greens are very, very hard for a muni. It destroys pace of play.
That is true about the greens bring diffucult, also most greens are raised.
I Played MP twice in the last two weeks. First time it moved very fast, second time (yesterday morning) the course was dreadfully slow on the back 9 but that was due to a very slow (hacker) older couple ahead of us.
Typically with foursomes at 9 minute intervals holes 3-4-5 back up and sometimes 8-9 back up. Back 9 normally moves faster.
3 is a very narrow “drivable” par 4, 4 is a long redan, and 5 is a narrow cape hole.
Had the same experience. We breezed through the front, but MP is allowing 9 hole rounds to start on 10 in the AM. 10 being a par 3 doesn’t help matters. So we hit a brick wall as soon as we made turn.
I saw they allowed the booking and was curious - kinda defeats the 15 min gaps once the front makes the turn.
Definitely. I watched a group spend 20 minutes just trying to get up and down on 7.
It’s hard!
