Played Sunset Valley this morning for the first time in a couple years. Greens rivaled MP speeds. That place has really grown in nicely from what I remember. Great round.

Played it Saturday 6am. Flew in from NY. I haven’t played that course in 20 years, and I had so much fun. I was 50yds out on the far right on 5, and got a lob wedge up over the power lines

Medinah #1 tomorrow and can’t sleep because I feel like a kid the day before Xmas… wondering how many times I’ll get Doak-ed on the wild greens I have been hearing about.

Thinking about grabbing an early tee time Saturday (7/2) morning at Foxford Hills. Any takers? 6am and 6:09 are available.

Anyone interested in checking out Blackberry Oaks, or have any strong opinions on it? Openings on Sat and Sun morning.

It’s nothing special. Has a few strange holes (6/11/17/18) but is usually in okay shape. Definetly worth checking out at least once but not my favorite in the area.

Good to know. Might shift to Whitetail Ridge since I’ve played there before and enjoyed the back.

EDIT nm whitetail ridge is asking b/t $100-$110.

Anyone in the W or SW burbs want to get out early Sat or Sun?

That’s my “go to” early morning midweek track. The price is right, but it has some quirks to it.

Going to be in Mt Prospect/Arlington Heights area at the in-laws this coming weekend. Figured I’d reach out here for a recommendation or two to go play Saturday AM. Think we’re playing Mt Prospect Sunday morning which looks like somewhat of a novelty/fan favorite? Arlington Lakes is around the corner. Looks like I could get on Steeple Chase or Lake Barrington - solid options?

Also, if anyone needs a 4th in that area for an early Saturday morning round that would be awesome.

Maybe something here can be worked out? If not, Steeple Chase is fun track. Makray is a little tougher but a not a bad option either.

Makray has the State JR this week. May not be in Top condition after all of the rounds

I can get out anytime Saturday and Sunday after 10am.

Might jump on some of the weekend posts here for something up north this weekend. I played Bittersweet Golf Club in Gurnee last weekend… such mixed feelings about that place. Not really my style course, some cool holes, and don’t feel the need to go back tomorrow.

looking for a 4th Sunday AM. 705 Prairie Bluff, I think it’s $55 to walk.
