Bring a chainsaw.
To me the issue out there isn’t so much the trees, but all the random ponds in stupid spots.
2 spots open tomorrow, friday 1230pm at ravisloe for anyone looking for a game. I only booked two, please book directly if you want in
We are playing Jackson Park at 9:50 on Sunday. Two spots still open if anyone would like to join, just book it on the CPD website.
Playing Chevy Chase tomorrow at 11. 1 spot left if anyone is looking to with the weather tomorrow.
Never been, but have heard good things here. Any tips?
Anyone one who has played boilingbrook know how it is to walk?
I’ve walked it twice. It’s a fine walk, with a few long green to tee transitions, but nothing really outrageous.
Most recent time the kid in the pro shop tried to tell me they didn’t allow walking on the weekends. I said why? He said, pace of play. I said that doesn’t make any sense, walking isn’t any slower than riding. So he went and talked to his superior before coming back and telling me we could walk. So don’t take any guff from the pro shop, you can absolutely walk it.
It’s a big golf course. Not too many long walks between greens and tees, but every hole’s footprint is large. Lots if rough between parallel holes. It’s the kind of course that could easily host a large event with all the space they have for galleries, tents, and grandstands.
It was long. It was like 8 miles of walking for me. I walk more than most since Im usually walking back and forth to wayward shots so if you are better you will walk a little less, but its still one of the longer walks. Not a lot of elevation change, but some long walks between holes I recall.
Played Phillips Park today in Aurora with @kmcswain. $40 bucks to walk at 7:50am. Course is in great shape with the greens lightning quick but rolling so true. Just under a 4 hour round as well, can’t believe haven’t made the stop before. Easy walk so definitely gonna try it again this year if possible.
what did you think of 13? Thats the par 5 that goes up and down hill. I played it twice and im still not sure if i loved it or hated it. The elevation change is just so wild
It kicked my butt, but I loved it. A true three shot hole. I think it’s super unique and really great. Could play it over and over if it wasn’t such a hassle walking up that hill!
I’m just happy you didn’t have to watch the Bears
This is awesome!
elbows the guy next to me, whispering, he ain’t no 12 and Ravines does not suck
I am wondering now if negging (ugh) a course beforehand helps you play better, @VenkmansLament, real sicko stuff
@TrajMahal suggested this was my strategy all along. It wasn’t, but it might be from now on.
Course had significant daddy issues today. @VenkmansLament was wearing his best button down and slamming jager bombs.
